Villa 53

This villa was the perfect location for our visit to the passport office. We traveled to Sri Lanka and were able to obtain the passport under the emergency service. The villa is within walking distance of the Sri Lanka Immigration (Passport Office), making the process much more convenient. The place was very good—clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with big rooms. The owner was extremely helpful, accommodating our requests, and allowing us to come and go at any time. Highly recommended!

There's nothing not to like about this place. I felt like i wa staying in a 5 star hotel.

A bit far from the main city of Colombo so plan extra time for travel, especially at rush hour

What an amazing house and family! Slightly outside the city but just a short taxi ride, so a perfect, luxurious, welcoming oasis away from the noise and traffic. Arrived as a stranger and left as a friend. Felt so welcomed, relaxed and happy here. Villa 53 will always be my first stop in Sri Lanka.

The perfect home away form home. The hosts, Sriyantha & Champi go above and beyond to take care of their guests. We loved the Sri Lankan traditional breakfast with string hoppers and curry. Always book with breakfast, the best breakfast in Battaramulla. House has excellent WiFi. The place has a nice natural setting surrounded by trees and gardens. At the same time the house is 5 minutes walking distance to the the Sri Lankan, Citizenship and Immigration office building, where they handle everything from NIC, to Visa to Passport. If you have business with Sri Lankan government, the prefect place to stay. About 10 minutes walking distance there is the board walk area along side, Diyawanna Lake, with parks, bicycle tracks, fast food and fine restaurants, street shops and other facilities. About 30 minutes drive to One Galle Face Mall and Port City Colombo. About 45 minutes drive to the Colombo Bandaranaike International airport.

Television service is not the best in Sri Lanka. There is only Dialog Dish Network. Quiet possibly the worst TV service on the planet. The signal will cut off couple of times withing the hour. You will not be able to watch any program or movie fully. Then again if you are traveling to Colombo, Sri Lanka, staying in the room watching TV would be a waste of an excellent opportunity to explore the city and country side.
