Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

We went during winter as it is the best season to visit Niseko but what makes our trip exceptionally memorable is this hotel that we can call our 'home' during our 5-night stay in December 2023. The room is exceptionally comfortable and clean but what stands out is the superb hospitality and service from the hotel's team. From the moment we checked in, the Front Office team was very welcoming (shout out to Kiel, Ryoka and the whole team) including the amiable and helpful hotel manager, Ms. Yolande (who took her time to welcome us and have a brief chat). Yolande even made sure to greet the guests every morning as we all walked to the restaurant for breakfast. It is the little things like this that make the difference. And thank you for all the tips and advice which was very very helpful.. During our stay, we were very comfortable and enjoyed the whole winter at Niseko's experience, especially returning to our cosy hotel and room after a long day exploring the small town. Thanks to the housekeeping team who always kept the room in the best condition (I think they make up the room a minimum of two times a day) - I didn't manage to get your names but your work is highly appreciated. On top of that, we always look forward to going for breakfast every morning as the menu prepared is of excellent quality - serving the best produce from Hokkaido like snow king crab. The team at the restaurant deserves much praise. Shoutout to the team (Goong, Korn, Ploy, Nut, Riko and Kristina). Thank you for your warm hospitality and the little conversations we had. I have lots of fond memories during my stay here and I look forward to coming back again real soon and seeing the familiar faces I've met on this trip.

Their in house onsen was superb with open air concept.

Food price is on the high side (a basic sandwich cost about Usd37) and breakfast buffet cost about Usd56.

Fantastic property with amazing staff and service! Best experience ever! The property is well designed and maintained and the area is fantastic with so many great things to do! The staff is superb and very professional and friendly! highly recommend this to anyone!

My husband and I stayed at HIGASHIYAMA NISEKO Village for 6 day, 5 night during our 3-week Japan Vacation/Honeymoon in June, 2023. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Antonio and Romany led a group of staff that offer no less than exemplary service and care. I can't thank them enough for making our stay a memorable one. They are very attentive and thoughtful. (BTW, thank you for our personalized notes/cards!) I have to mention that they took care of all our needs, including making a call to our previous hotel and have them shipped the Dr. Martens boots I left.(Thank you Antonio for going above and beyond!). Our suite was super clean and over all spectacular...with the breathtaking view of the Yotei Mountain. I can only imagine how it looks during the fall and winter. Our suite has a private bath with the same hot springs water as the onsen. Taking a relaxing bath while watching the clouds on the Yotei mountain top was an experience on its own! Home Service was the best! Thank you for making our room crisp and fresh at all times! Food was also amazing! My husband, who used to be a chef loved all the food. They only use fresh and local ingredients that made their food stand out from any other! When you go, we highly recommend the Omekase Dinner! Sooooooooo good!!!! I truly recommend this HIGASHIYAMA NISEKO Village! They encompass and exemplify what a true Ritz-Carlton Reserve is! We will for sure come back in the future, in a different season of the year!
