Mango Tree House

This is probably my favourite place I stayed in Sri Lanka. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were lovely. I'm disappointed I was only there for one night. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious too.

I can't think of anything. It is in a more isolated location, but that was a benefit for me, especially as the food onsite was so good.

Domek jest faktycznie uroczy jak na zdjęciach. Na przywitanie dostaliśmy pyszną lemoniadę i ciastko. Gospodarz też jest pomocny. Kolacja też była dość przyjemna. Do tego organizują safari i choć jest droższe, niż przez okoliczne firmy, to przynajmniej nie trzeba samemu ogarniać oraz co ważne my mieliśmy faktycznie prywatne (może stąd cena).

Dostaliśmy ręczniki, które miały jeszcze jakieś włoski na sobie i mnóstwo frędzli z innych tkanin. Po napisaniu dostaliśmy "nowe", ale ich jakość była podobna. Lokacja jest przy dość lipnej drodze między innymi resortami i jak chce się pojechać do "miasta", to tylko tuktuk. Sam resort jest malutki i nie pospaceruje się zbytnio.

Wonderful area with a few houses for the guests and beautiful breakfast/dining area. The hosts are wonderful, nice and very keen to make the guests feel comfortable. The outdoor bathroom is also amazing and a highlight of our trip so far.

We spent one night in a beautiful house at Mango Tree House. The place is located on a quiet road in the middle of nature (we were able to spot a monkey and a monitor lizard in their garden!). They have many fruit trees in their garden, about 4-5 houses and a breakfast/dinner area. The place is run by a local charming couple (and their big labrador). They arranged transfer from the south 2hours drive) and to the mountains area for us (3hours drive), as well as an afternoon safari tour. Although we found it a little bit expensive, we had a whole jeep to ourselves and a kind driver/guide. Udawalawa is a beautiful park with many animals (we saw elephants, buffalos, crocodiles, eagles, peacocks, mongooses, monitor lizards, monkeys, wild pigs, and so many colorful birds) and not too many jeeps, which was greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed the buffet dinner at the hotel, which was succulent. We loved our peaceful stay and would highly recommend Mango Tree House!

Magnifique chambre bien équipée Salle de bain extérieure superbe ! Acceuil de l hote très agréable avec petite collation. Proposition d organiser le safari avec jeep qui vient directement à l hôtel pour un tarif pas beaucoup plus cher que les entrées au parc avec jeep et chauffeur (si on l organise seul) Guide pour le safari très très bien !!!

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und abends gab es die Möglichkeit, vom Buffet zu essen. (verschiedene Currys, auch sehr gut!) Es gab zudem die Möglichkeit, den Pool vom Nachbarhotel um 1000 Rupien zu benutzen. Wir haben über die Unterkunft eine 12h Safari gebucht, diese war wirklich wundervoll - wir haben sehr viele verschiedene Tiere gesehen!

Sehr nah zum udawalawe Nationalpark. Die Gastgeber haben die Safari organisiert und waren im allgemeinen zuvorkommend

Das Abendessen war vergleichsweise teuer und vom Geschmack her hatten wir überall besseres bekommen

Tolle Unterkunft, zu einem super Preis. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Essen am Abend können wir jedem empfehlen! Auch die Safari welche von Hotel organisiert wurde war super! Zimmer mit Outdoor-Dusche einfach Top!
