Located only 5 minutes from the town, but it felt really secluded and private . The accommodation was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful . Sachith and his team kindly provided dinner on our first night and the food was delicious !!

Wirklich eine top Unterkunft, die man kaum überbieten kann. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und total sauber, das Highlight war die Dusche unter freiem Himmel. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett,insgesamt haben wir uns total wohlgefühlt. Das Abendessen war auch perfekt und ist nur zu empfehlen! Die Safari war sehr schön :)

The best Sri Lankan dinner ! So fresh and home made I loved it. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. Loved Shane the Labrador too!

The open shower was a little daunting in the middle of the night.

We had a fantastic stay at Mango Tree House, and highly recommend it. Sachith, the owner, was incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help. He fulfilled all our requests, gave great recommendations, and helped arrange drivers, tours, and anything else we needed. His WhatsApp was available 24/7, and he was always quick to respond. Even after we left, he continued helping us with rides and travel plans, which we truly appreciated. He was also very kind and friendly with our children. His wife and the rest of the staff were equally warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The food was delicious, offering a great taste of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with a beautiful garden full of trees and local plants—we even had squirrels visiting us! The bungalows were pretty, private, and perfect for a peaceful stay. We also loved the calm, beautiful Labrador dog who greeted us every morning—so friendly and gentle. Udawalawa is a wonderful jungle location, and the safari we booked through Sachith was an amazing experience for our family of four. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and well-managed stay in Udawalawa with outstanding hospitality, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Perfect lodge stay for our Udawalwe Safari. Beautiful surroundings, the shower was super cool, the owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly and both the dinner and breakfast were amazing. We were sad we couldn't stay longer! Also Shane the dog is adorable!
