WoodSpring Suites West Des Moines

Room was clean.

Hard to get out of the location. You can't turn left off of Lake onto Jordan Parkway.

Door was locked. Atendant took 20 min to let us in. Its a suite, but u have to pay for dishes, coffee pot. They have no coffee downstairs and that is a first in my life.

Staff was great. Mentioned a good place to order in and the food was great.

Blinds in room let in a lot of light. No curtains at all..

Very spartan, not even a box of Kleenex. Notes taped all over the walls telling guests additional rules that could have been presented at check-in. Only saw staff once during check-in. Pleasant but not professional appearing. Desk closed otherwise.

For a quick 1 night stay, the location was great, the facility was great, and the price was great. A good place to stay for a cost concerned traveler.

Mattress could have been a bit more comfortable.

1. The blinds wouldn't come down, and the maintenance man refused to come until the night manager called her Boss by the time he came I'd Driven TO WALMART GRABBED SOME TOOLS and fixed it myself he came up i showed him the problem he said ok I'll fix them tomorrow but yeah that didn't happen... prior to me fixing it the night manager asked me if i was OK for a day with the blinds being up i said would you be ok with everyone looking up from the parking lot or the hotels and other businesses into your room as I come out of the shower (freak) i said absolutely not and why are you all requiring a card on file for incidentals when you literally have nothing in the room for an incident to occur? ........ the beds and linen laughable pretty sure the beds were purchased through some back door auction (buy 1 the rest are free), my dog sleeps on better quality......... the floors were dirty the linen smelled horrible and items from another person were left in the room some winter socks and a Frisbee (in my head one of these items has been here for while that's a summer toy and winter clothing WTF).... the overall presentation was dirty (DRY HEAVING)........ some guy is walking around not sure of his position i said do you work here he says no i watch the place at night SMH I walked away thinking ok WTF does that mean weirdo and the staff smokes to much they have no name tags they could be staff but they could be the guy that "watches the place at night" they are never in the building when you call ..... yeah i would rather sleep in the car
