"Very old hotel in a central location. Good enough for a short stay"

location was where we wanted to be, near Union Square and the BART station.

snippy desk woman who warmed up over the time of our stay; reminded me of my sister. Very old hotel, which we knew. Fine for a short stay, clean enough, easy walk from the BART station.

Location, 24/7 desk.

Windows are pretty bad - getting in too much of outside cold air. I was getting sick and had to push bed away and sleep in with my head away from the window.

Very central location, was able to walk pretty much everywhere. It’s a very nice budget hotel that does the job! And the staff are the highlight. Some of the kindest and most helpful staff I’ve met. Made me want to revisit.

Beds are a tiny bit too hard. Not necessarily uncomfortable, just could use a bit more softness.
