Under Canvas Acadia

It was such a cute and beautiful stay. The staff is very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. The whole experience was amazing.

The area is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the food excellent. The issue is the wood burning stove. It did not have a seal - it leaked too much smoke and it did not heat the tent. The nightly temperature was in the 40s so it was cold. Would we do this site again? Yes, but a month earlier when the stove is not needed. The location is beautiful.

Our tent was impeccably clean, spacious, and featured a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed with soft linens. The wood-burning stove kept us warm and cozy as the desert evenings cooled down. The provided USB battery packs for charging devices and lanterns were thoughtful touches that blended seamlessly into the glamping experience.

This is a place that is hard to review so I'll be as descriptive as possible. Note that we have a camper and have camped for many years, so maybe our perspective is different and doesn't align with the typical glamper. The tent has a nice king bed, toilet, sink, shower and wood burning stove and that's it. The bed was comfortable with good blankets however did squeak with every movement. The sink only has warm water, no cold and no hot. The shower has warm water too but to keep the water warm you have to keep the water running. It has an instant water heater and if you pull the cord for the shower for a few seconds, all you get is cold water. If you keep it pulled, the shower is nice and warm. The wood burning stove will keep the space warm, but remember it's using wood so you need to add logs every 1-3 hours to stay warm, all through the night. Also, it is nearly impossible to light the wood burning heater without the smoke detector going off. Every evening you heard the detectors beeping as people lit them. The tents have no power except for battery powered lights and a small battery pack to charge your phone. The tents are close to a gravel walking path and you hear footsteps until people go to sleep around 10 or 11 pm and you hear again at 6 am as people leave. We had a sound maker which helped a lot. There is no cooking in or at the tents. This is a big negative for me as much of the camping experience is cooking food over a fire. The only fires are at the community area. They provide all the coffee, hot chocolate and smores you'd like. We didn't eat there as it was pricey both for food and drink. We opted for nearby cafes and had much more food for less.

It was an amazing glamping experience. The staff is great and very welcoming and service oriented. The location is a blast and they have something going on every other night, including things for kids. Great!
