Under Canvas Acadia

The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The location was a bit farther than expected from Acadia national park.

Loved own bathroom in my tent. Basecamp location with water views was amazing.

Wished the staff was more knowledgeable on Acadia. Details for when to go, where to get tickets, etc.

The location was great. The most surprising thing about this experience was the quality of the food served onsite. It was restaurant quality level. The staff is very friendly and nice.

Wished there were more hiking spots around the area.

We had a very nice experience; the tents were delightful, the staff was extremely chipper and attentive, the grounds were interesting and easy to get around. Location was conveniently located next to downtown Ellsworth with several dining options, and a reasonably short 30 mins to Acadia trailheads. My only demerit is that they promised access to a guitar, so I intentionally didn't bring mine to pass time on extra rainy evenings, but they didn't actually have one available and every day just told me they couldn't find it.

Everything about this was WOW!!! This entire experience far exceeded my expectations!! Tent was very clean and very comfortable, considering you are in a tent! They provide everything you need in your room, not everything you want (tv & electrical), and we LOVED it! We booked a stargazing room, highly recommend!! It rained one evening and it was HEAVEN!! We did not get bored once! The main tent provides lots of activities/games, food, and common areas to make new friends with other guests. Trivia was fun, learned a few new things about Maine! STAFF WAS AMAZING!!!!! From the moment we walked in, we felt important and taken care of! Tyler was incredible! He remembered us each time we came in and greeted us like we were old friends, they all did! Cannot speak highly enough of the staff, seriously! Location is great! Far enough away from the tourist traps and traffic, but close enough to enjoy a beautiful drive to the park. The grounds of Under Canvas are well-kept. Views are beautiful of course! Saw a seal in the bay and a few deer running through the wooded area. You will not regret staying here!!

We had stayed at an Under Canvas in Moab the year before with another group so as we planned this trip this group wanted to glamp, and I was familiar with the franchise. It was a great experience probably better than Moab as the nights were comfortable and not freezing. I'll also say we used the amenities here more eating one dinner and both breakfast here and they were very good. Everything about the experience and stay were great accept one thing. It is a long way from the park and the town you have to come through can be crowded at rush hour. Other than that, we all loved the experience here. It is a great place to stay.

Great experience! We were made to feel like home as soon as we arrived. Check in was super easy. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The tents were amazing, the beds were super comfy. The evening got cool, keeping the fire going we part of the experience! The setting couldn’t have been better so beautiful on the water. Very relaxing. The main tent was were the restaurant was along with inviting seating arrangements. They had books to read and games to play. They really wanted one to disconnect from devices. Food was amazing, staff was very friendly. They really made our staff memorable.
