Happy Closet & Wasamon Hostel

The owners (Tomo-san & Masa-san) were absolutely friendly and hospitable hosts. Relatively convenient, short walk from Shinmachi Tram Station and convenience stores (7-11 & Family Mart). Place was clean and well-maintained overall, washing machine and dryer are available and cheap to use. Instructions for usage are clear and easy to follow. Also, they have a dinner and drinks party on Saturday night for 3000 yen. Great opportunity to socialize with fellow guests and the hosts if you happen to stay on that night. It was a fun and enjoyable experience.

They don’t accept card payment, so have cash ready to pay at the venue when you check in. Probably the only downside would be the squeaky bedframe which can be noisy especially at night when you don’t want to disturb the other guests. But minor inconvenience, the overall experience is well worth the money

Wasamon Hostel is a short walk to the bus station and near the B line. They provided when of the most human orientation experiences I’ve had between SK and JP. It’s also possible to get a free drink if you arrive early enough. It is owned by a family that is very friendly and I met some of the most social backpackers of any other hostel between SK and JP. The mattress and pillow was better than average. There is a small kitchen and dining area as well as a large shower, toilet, and laundry machine. Oh, and parking, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, there is not much to say here. Perhaps accepting credit cards and having a fuller kitchen?

Very helpfull and friendly owners! Location was good. Pictures show the place well and HappyCloset&WasamonHostel has all the necessary services for a stay. Price and quality match well.

Neither a good or bad thing but you have to pay with cash at the property. I was prepared and booking.com does say pay at the property, but it seems to be a common problem for the owner. So bring your cash team.

the owners are awesome people, the place is clean and it's commfortable to use. there are places to eat and drink very close, as well as a convenience store. the bunk beds do not make noise when you get on them, so it's very quite.
