Amazing location and a charming lil home in the heart of the city. Easily accessible and an amazing host. This has to be one of the best kept secrets in Reykjavik. Will definitely stay here again when we return next

This historic property is centrally located in the heart of the old town of Reykjavík with everything you could need on your doorstep or within walking distance. The host Elsa was excellent, she made the entire stay feel warm and welcoming. A comprehensive information pack and messages leading up to check in made everything super easy and expedient. The house was extremely cosy, heating and hot water in abundance. The beds were very comfortable, a week long of great sleeps. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend staying at the house of the snowbird.

The Snowbird is a beautiful house and the flat was so nice and cozy! It was clean, has everything you need and Elsa's art work gives it that extra touch ;) We felt at home the moment we entered the house and liked it very much. The location is perfect, everything is close by and easy reachable by foot. Elsa is the most amazing host, she sent me clear instructions about the check-in and information about Reykjavik and some local insider tips ;) She also checked if everything went well after our arrival and I could always contact her if I had any questions or needed anything. She is one of a kind :)

The only thing I didn't "like" were the loud neighbours in the apartment above us the first couple of days. The house is very old and you can just hear everything. The first night I literally had the feeling there were people inside the apartment because I heard their steps and talking so loud and clear. But you get used to it after a while and the loud bass from the Bar nearby almost became like a lullaby after a while ;)
