We had a magical stay at El Picnic. The houses are beautiful and the vibes are so relaxing. But the top is the warm welcome of the team and owners. It was a pleasure to discuss and spend time with Gaby (and the dogs !). She helped us a lot to plan our activities. Thank you !

El Picnic is amazing. The food is so good, hosts Gaby and Jochen were incredibly welcoming and warm, and the views are stunning. The room was so private, with lakefront views from the bed, shower and toilet! We didn't want to leave as we felt so relaxed here and couldn't get enough of the food.

Can't fault this place. I highly recommend it!

This is a unique property, designed, built and managed by husband and wife (Jochen and Gabi) in a secluded part of Tzununa to capture the natural beauty of the lake below. The villa has only four rooms (so it’s private) and reflects Gabi’s local culture and Jochen’s German heritage. What doesn’t get enough attention is that Jochen is an incredible chef. The Picnic can just as easily be considered a destination restaurant for dinner with rooms available for the night. And once you’re there, you’ll want to spend the night.

The unique open-air glamping style and spectacular views of the lake and volcanoes. It was absolutely stunning. The small occupancy format made it very intimate. We were able to get to know the owners and other guests. The owners Jochem and Gaby were incredible hosts. They took great care of us and gave great recommendations. Their communication was excellent. The meals they made at the hotel were amazing. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended!
