Hotel Sonnhof Rauris

The area is located in the nicest valley near Salzburg. The hotel itself is close to the centre and also close to hiking trails. Staff is very kind and helpful, rooms are neat and clean. I recommend, and will definately be back during winter time.

We were at Hotel Sonnhof for 5 nights. The staff was very friendly, the meals were very tasty and we got several bonuses with the travel package. Rauris is amazing and you can make a lot of excursions and walking tour nearby. We highly recommend the place also with children!

My husband and 2 children (age 5 & 7) stayed here for one week on a skiing holiday. We are beginner skiers, so a little unsure about booking this trip by ourselves as there are many factors to consider. The staff were excellent and made useful recommendations about ski school/equipment, day trips, local knowledge and transport etc. They went above and beyond! It was also my husbands birthday and the staff were particularly helpful when planning a surprise. The quality of food was also impressive, with a tasty, wholesome selection over the course of the week (always suitable choice for children). A wonderful family run hotel with a number of guests who return time and again which is only a good thing. Friendly staff, rooms clean & warm, great hospitality and fantastic chef. Will definitely return, great family ski resort, great hotel!

For all kind of ski aspect: location (having a charming local ski arena and very close to zell am see and kaprun, also kitzbuhel) , price - value best solution . The food and room is acceptable , the staff and service is extra good Highly recommend for skiing and mountain touring

The hotel is a real family hotel with all equipments you need. Rooms are cosy and clean the stuff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast and the dinner was always enough and tasty. The location of the hotel is perfect with a nice view to a valley. I can just recommend it!

Happened to book this last minute half board was amazing the Hungarian receptionist was so helpful sorting our room out had the best views food was nice breakfast very filling and drinks reasonably priced just wished we had stayed longer 😀.

Family run guesthouse in scenic settings. Wide range of friendly services locally and in short range. Restaurant, bar, sauna, pool, etc. in the guesthouse. Rooms are comfortably, but not all “furnished up-to-date trends”.
