"Great for gluten free!"

10.0

My goddaughter and I stayed for 5 days and we had the best time! The hotel is nice and modern and our room was lovely with a poolside view. The only negatives were no lock on the bathroom door and no hooks to hang your used towels. The beds were nice and comfy and the air-con was great. All the staff were great too. All smiles and chatty with the guests. The ladies on the front desk were very friendly and always helpful too especially the lady with the dark curly hair and glasses, sorry I didn’t get her name. The pool area is very nicely laid out with lots of sun beds but unfortunately not enough. There are signs all around the hotel saying you CAN NOT reserve sun beds with towels but unfortunately people do. We were told off by another holidaymaker for moving the towels when they hadn’t been there for over an hour. She was quite rude so we moved our stuff only for them to just dump their bags then go and sit at the bar for the rest of the afternoon! The hotel food was amazing! I have coeliac disease so I have to be gluten free and there was so much choice! On our first night I asked the waiter what I could eat as not everything was clearly labelled. He told me he was getting the chef to talk me through it. Marios came out and showed me what I could eat which was nearly everything! They even offered to make something just for me if I didn’t like what was available. After that, each time I went in a chef was called to show me that days gluten free food choices. I was very impressed! The only negative was the possible cross contamination with the serving utensils so I just used a separate spoon for each dish. The sausages at breakfast were GF but there was no separate toaster so they toasted my bread in the kitchen. Overall this was a great eating experience and I had no issues and ate very well each day. We loved this hotel and the staff and would definitely come back.

"Singled out and disrespected by staff; racially targeted and intimidated during our stay at Bohemian Gardens."

4.0

I wanted to leave a higher review for Bohemian Gardens - the hotel itself is genuinely lovely. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-kept, the breakfast had a great variety, and the cleaning staff came every single day without fail. The facilities were ideal for a relaxing couples’ trip, and overall, it should’ve been a flawless experience. However, that changed because of a staff member named Nicholas. I was staying at the hotel with my partner and two other couples (all of us Black or Asian), and we were enjoying a quiet night playing cards in the lobby around 10pm, making little to no noise. A white guest was asleep on a sofa nearby. Without warning or politeness, Nicholas approached only our group, speaking in a loud and aggressive tone: “You cannot play cards here - you need to go to your room.” There was no professionalism or basic customer service - just an unnecessarily condescending attitude. We lowered our tone immediately, trying to be considerate, but Nicholas returned and raised his voice again, repeating his demand. I pointed out that the white man was still asleep on the sofa and hadn’t been asked to move. Only then did Nicholas tell him to go upstairs - clearly because I had brought it up. It was blatant that we were the original targets. At no point was there any visible policy or signage stating that guests were not permitted to be in the lobby or play cards at that time of night. When I asked Nicholas for his name, he ignored me completely. Only after I read his name tag and said I’d speak to management did he escalate the situation further, shouting across the lobby (in front of new guests checking in), “I’ll see you tomorrow morning then, go to your rooms goodbye and goodnight” His behavior felt racially charged, hostile, and completely unfit for someone working in hospitality. Two nights later, while walking through the hotel with the same group, Nicholas saw us again - and this time locked eyes at us in an intense, condescending, and threatening manner, like he wanted us to know we weren’t welcome. It was deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. It’s not just a one-off, his conduct clearly reflects a pattern. As young people of colour, we paid the same money as anyone else to enjoy this hotel, and instead were made to feel unwelcome and targeted. Not once, but twice. If it weren’t for Nicholas, this review would’ve easily been 5 stars. But his repeated, racially biased actions and intimidating attitude left a lasting impact on our stay. Unless management takes real accountability for this, I would urge other minority guests to think carefully before booking. Respect and dignity should be standard and not optional based on race.

"Wow"

10.0

Wow just a great holiday from start to finish after a week stay at the Bohemian Gardens. What a fantastic hotel as soon as we walked in to reception, a lovely smell greeted us and two very helpful lovely receptionists. Our room was so clean and bright, cleaned every day and all the staff greeted us every day with wonderful smiles. Pool was great and only 5 minutes walk down to the beach with supermarket on route. Trip to Protaras was only a 15 minute walk away too where there were loads of bars and shops. We were all inclusive at the hotel and the food was always delicious and plenty of choice it was lush. The restaurant staff were amazing Omiris, Andreas, Svetlina, Anna and all the team were great. Always smiling and friendly. The cocktails and drinks were yum, I think we tried them all and what a wonderful bunch EVELINA, Max, Daniela and Monika made us giggle, so fun. Thankyou all for a great fabulous week and we will be back 🎉 for sure. Keep doing what you do and we loved it THANKYOU you beautiful bunch.

"Review For June 2025"

10.0

Stayed here for 9 nights and it was really enjoyable. The room was extremely well cleaned every single day. Rooms are modern, spacious. Pool area always has beds available. Food is not the greatest in the buffets, if you are picky. Staff at the bar were good. Location of this place is really well, as it’s like 15-20 min walk away from all restaurants & beach, but it’s a lovely walk. I would recommend this place. Really a good time in Protaras

"Hotel is lovely, staff let the place down"

6.0

Just left this hotel after a 7 night stay. The hotel itself is beautiful although simple, and do not listen to the negative reviews about food, while the selection was small, it tasted amazing. The desserts were particularly lovely and had some really nice flavours. The hotel is just a short walk from a small beach and the promenade, you can walk into the main Protaras strip too (but be careful when walking back at night, the streets are pitch black!). There are some really nice bars nearby you can go to if you fancy a night out of the hotel. The main negative which really let the hotel down was the staff unfortunately. I’m not one to complain but have never experienced anything like this at a hotel before. The receptionists are lovely, as is the assistant manager, but it is the bar staff in particular that let this hotel down. On our first night we went to the pool bar and asked for some Pina Coladas. The man at the bar really complained, huffing and puffing and asked us if we were ‘sure’ we wanted it, as he didn’t like making them. We said yes we do want them, as it’s the only thing I drink - following that, we were met with hostility every night. The ladies on the bar during the day are also rude (apart from the younger lady serving tables, she was nice), and I have to say I agree with some of the reviews on here that say bar staff treat ‘paying customers’ much better than the all inclusive customers. I’m not sure why this is, but again this made me feel really uncomfortable. It is such a shame because the hotel is great, but due to the staff I would not consider returning. Overall the staff let the place down and is holding this place back from being an amazing hotel.

"Could have been better"

6.0

We were in protaras for a wedding at the capuel , there was 70 of us in different hotels across the resort. We were late arriving, due to a delay with the plane . I had rang before we arrived to say I was disabled and said a quiet room near lift . We were allocated room 327 which was perfect. The room was clean , tidy and quit big , a big plus that the lift was outside the door . As we arrived late there was a sad sandwich, (cheese and ham) in our room along side a not so good apple . A free lunch the next day would have been more accommodating. On that note of food we thought evening meals not up to scratch. Thyme nights, a let down ,don’t know how they fit in , no decorations or flags or props to tell what night it was . On seafood night for example.. frozen fish that was on most nights , squid chopped in to 1cm pieces mixed with something and a few small shrimps in salad . A long side this was spring rolls and pakoras . The dessert ,mainly bought in frozen , I have never stayed in a hotel that don’t offer ice dream . Breakfast was the usual and plentiful. We would meet up with family during the week so we asked if we could swap dinner for lunch like the others did at there hotel and we were told NO . From a disabled point of view there are quite a few small steps of 2inches around the place . On the last day I went up to the St Ellias Resort , it’s all inclusive (never been a fan of AI) to look after my poorly granddaughter ,while her mam went on a boat trip . I was invited to lunch by the manager and was I pleased . The food was beautiful, more dips and breads let alone the meats and desserts . I have rated a 3 as the others hotels I visited where better
