"First time in Cyprus, we will be back!"

10.0

Spotless and modern, 5 minute walk to nearest beach, where the sun beds and umbrellas there are €2.50 each for the day, reasonable. There isn’t the same fight for beds at the pool here, which is lovely. Don't leave it any later than 9.30/10 or you might not get one though. You can leave a towel out from 7am and they monitor this. There are some big four poster beds, these do not cost any extra. The pool is 1.48m at the deepest and there is a little kids area too. The rooms have a small fridge, kettle with tea/coffee, hair dryer and a safe. The rooms are cleaned daily and the air con sat at 17° which was fab. The hotel has a towel swap scheme for €10 a towel which you get back when you return them for the last time. There is a bar/supermarket across the road and if you turn left out the front doors, there are quite a few things at the end of the road; keep walking that direction and it will take you to a small town Pernera, plenty of restaurants etc. if you turn to the right from the front doors, you are heading to main Protaras. You can walk the promenade which is at least a 20 minute stroll, it takes minutes in the taxi for €12. The food at this hotel is the best I’ve had in a hotel catering for such numbers, always found something tasty to eat at breakfast and dinner. Top tip #1 the plug for the sink is operated by a pull up stick which is hidden behind the tap! Don't be like me and require maintenance for a broken plug….the fella walked in and pulled the lever 🤣🤣 he then kept me going about it the next day lol (good guy with glasses) Top tip #2 Ask reception for a map of the area and get your bearings. Top tip 3 if wanting to do a sea tour without the mad music (you’ll see what I mean) I can recommend Captain Pannikos, the tour operates from the main pier in Protaras the first office. €20 an adult and €10 for a child, you leave around 10am and are back for 1pm. Real genuine man. Would definitely stay at the Bohemian again. Thank you all

"BEST WE'VE BEEN TO"

10.0

Where do I start... Staff: all absolutely lovely, with special mention to the man on reception and Monika and Evelina at the pool bar, plus all the friendly hardworking staff in the dining hall. Food: Exquisite. Every day an extensive range of different cuisines. Usually with Half Board we find ourselves eating out at evening meal around half the time due to the monotony of what buffets usually offer...but not this time. Cleaning staff: All went above and BEYOND every day to keep it spotlessly clean. Rooms cleaned every day, and every member of staff always greeted you with a hello and a smile. Extremely reasonably priced given that it's a genuine '4 Star' To summarise: Will definitely stay here again. It's our 2nd time to Protaras and we'll be returning next year to this wonderful hotel, for sure. They all deserve a huge pat on the back for their efficiency and professionalism in running this place.

"Honest Review – Wouldn’t Return"

6.0

We’ve just come back from a 10-night half board stay at this hotel. We know Cyprus well – we got married here and have family on the island. Last year we stayed at the Amanti in Ayia Napa which is a true 5-star experience and highly recommended. Sadly, this hotel didn’t come close to 3 star. Reception & Check-In
Reception was fine – no issues here. Rooms
Rooms have two single beds pushed together, which I understand is practical for hotels, but as a newly married couple, a double would’ve been nicer. The beds slide all over the place and are very noisy. The rooms are also incredibly loud – you can hear everything from toilets flushing to people coughing next door, moving furniture above you, and shouting outside. Cleanliness was average. The room was generally clean, but not to my standard (I'm a nurse, so maybe I'm a bit particular - to the average person it’s probably fine) There was visible dust above the bed ledge and marks on the tiles in the shower. There’s a fridge in the room, but you have to pay to use the safe – which I find a bit cheeky for a 4 star hotel. Our shower broke – likely due to the cleaners hosing it down to clean – and it took 24 hours and three separate reports before someone actually fixed it. On the third time asking, a lovely maintenance guy came and sorted it within 15minutes – shame it took so long to get to that point. When we got into the shower - no towels so back down again. I used the gym - this was empty and fine for your stay. I’ve stayed in better hotels where the gym wasn’t as nice as here. Food
We’re not picky eaters, but the food was really basic. Breakfast was so poor we ended up skipping it or just having cereal. Think greasy full English from a cafe. undercooked waffles, and pastries that were clearly frozen then reheated. The fruit often tasted of garlic – I assume the same knife was used to chop both. Plates, cups and cutlery were also often dirty/stained – the dishwasher needs attention. Dinner was a mixed bag. The first meal we had was actually decent and gave us hope, but the second time we went down, the food was awful and we left hungry. No one came to take a drinks order despite us waiting for over 15 minutes. Pool Area
Didn’t use the pool so can’t fully comment. Towels require a €10 deposit each, but they were good quality. Plenty of sunbeds if you go down around 9–10am. Any later and you’ll struggle peak season. Beaches near by and they’re owned many the local governments so €7.50 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Lifts
Tiny and painfully slow. You can easily wait five minutes for one. There is another lift at the far end of the hotel that’s a bit quicker. Location
It’s about a 20-minute walk into Protaras – we didn’t mind that, but the walk isn’t ideal if you have mobility issues as there are no pavements in parts. Bolt and local taxis were easy to book when we needed them. Final Thoughts
Pay cheap – expect cheap. We were drawn in by the photos and low price, but we definitely got what we paid for. In hindsight, we’d have rather spent the extra and gone elsewhere. If you’re just looking for a budget break and aren’t too fussed about food or service, this might suit you. But if you value peace and quality – this isn’t the one.

"Fantastic trip to Cyprus "

10.0

Returned just over 2 weeks from The Bohemian Gardens. Not just any holiday my Son was getting married in a hotel up the coast. On arrival it was just as the photos and description had said. Such a warm welcome from the Reception staff. When arriving in our room we were a little disappointed we didn't have a pool view but after a day it was apparent that we had the quieter side of the hotel. Everything was great, staff were exceptional and nothing too much trouble. The food choices were good something for everyone. I can't remember everyone's name but Eveline in the Bar was wonderful always had a smile on her face. We wanted a quiet intimate hotel to relax after the wedding and we were not disappointed. Rooms adequate and beds so comfortable. The only downside was a small shower room with little room to put our cosmetics and toiletries but didn't impact our stay, we must learn to travel lighter. A very short walk to the lovely Pernina Beach. Very reasonable price for sun beds and umbrellas. An absolutely fantastic holiday and can't wait to come back. Thank you for making a very special trip to Cyprus even more special.

Just returned after 10 nights. Positive’s friendly reception staff The people who clean were all lovely. The hotel and rooms were modern great air con wifi. Now the little moans The location had one or two shops and bars and there was a beach 5 minutes away but don’t judge Cyprus beaches by that it had some pebbles and rocks we went twice then didn’t bother. The walk to Protaras for us definitely wasn’t 15-20 minutes more like 40 luckily we have family in Cyprus so had access to a car. The food was above average for the price we paid small buffet but mostly something for everyone nothing amazing though but again for the price you can’t complain. Pool is on the small side which was fine at the start of July when we arrived but later on was much busier. Policy with sunbeds is no towels down before 7am and they do have someone monitoring this. But you should be ok getting a bed it wasn’t crazy. Bar staff weren’t the best one time we were clapped at to hurry up when we didn’t realise it was our turn in the queue. Now the all inclusive part Had to pay for bottled water Pay for certain ice cream Pay for the safe €2.50 a day Pay for certain hot and cold drinks. The snack bar opens and closes so there are parts of the day you can’t get food it’s not a long wait but still not great. The drinks are not up to scratch even the water comes out of the drink gun and is sometimes yellow as it mixes with the previous drinks in the pipe. The coke on tap is awful. Overall our stay was good But unfortunately would never book again.
