Lovely friendly feel about the place. Gareth & Wendy made us feel very welcome and the breakfasts were very tasty - thanks as well for the extra egg every morning!

Excellent location to local beach and shops. Everything had been well thought out.

Appley Lodge is the place what you don't want to leave. Gareth and Wendy are fantastic hosts, run the place with pure passion. Wendy's porridge is unbeatable and Gareth's fry up rocks! Highly recommended place to stay on the island. We will come back.

Appley is a nice family-led B&B in the hear of Shanklin. Basically all sights and the beach are just 5 minutes walk away (and a lift, in case of the beach). The owners are absolutely lovely and were just the best possible hosts to have. The cooked breakfast was the best we ever had - and we did stay in about 10 other B&Bs just on that vacation. Appley alone is a reason to return to the Isle of Wight, really.

Good selection of breakfast choice with proprietors willing to make alterations to what was provided. Could sit out on verandah and able to make tea and coffee in dining room. Good location within walking distance to town and lift.

Appley Lodge is lovely, immaculately clean and comfortable beds. Lovely big rooms with fresh towels. Tea, coffee and biscuits which were refilled daily. The lodge is in a great location for shops, restaurants and the beach. Wendy & Gareth are perfect hosts who are very friendly and give lots of advice on places to visit.

Lovely relaxing time, the hosts were excellent, and it made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Shanklin.

Nothing really, the bathroom was on the small side, but everything else was great.
