"Pleasant stay with minor hiccups"

Host was pleasant. Accommodation comfortable. Good that it was near to town centre.

When we got to the room there was urine in the toilet. Water was not very warm in the bath and the shower head would not stay in its holder and it was really cold in the bathroom.

We had just the one night at the Silk House - and what a great night it was. Nick the owner was the most convivial of hosts and we had a great night in the bar singing, dancing and generally making merry. The room itself was quirky and comfortable although a little too warm. (Couldn't really open the window as it was on a main road). But otherwise a great stay! Thank you Nick!

Lovely building in a great location. No parking but street parking around the corner. Lovely bathroom with a huge roll top bath but not enough hot water to enjoy it, a shower would be more practical.
