1 The Maltings Apartments

I was walking the Mendip Way long distance path with my son, and this was very well placed for an overnight stopover before walking the last leg to Frome the next day. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable and the kitchen had (almost) everything we needed. A good central location and food shops, places to eat within easy walking distance.

The toilet / shower room was very compact, but I guess showed some ingenuity to use a space that presumably was previously a cupboard. The kitchen was generally well equipped, although we couldn't find oven gloves or scissors.

We liked the location

There was an awful smell from the kitchen like a cooking smell. The rooms were clean and beds also. We opened the window on the stairs and soo many flys withing seconds come in and the house was full of flies!!!! Smell didn't go from the kitchen and no airfreshners had any scent left in them.

Parking

Location. Kitchen was good.

The bathrom was very small and had no place to keep clothing without it getting wet. Had the bathroom photo been on the advertising site I would not have chosen the property. There was not a comfortable sitting area. Parking is advertised as free and it wasn't. Closest parking was 200m away. The property was hard to find. Google maps got us close. The property owner was helpful in finding the place when I contacted him over the phone.

The bathroom was the smallest toilet/shower area we had ever seen and was totally inadequate for a 3 bedroom property. Sitting on the toilet meant you had your feet in the shower tray and as the shower tray didn't drain properly the whole area was flooded

Very nice flat. Very clean and pleasant, comfortable beds.

Communication pre-arrival could have been better. One of the TVs didn't work (probably just flat batteries in the remote control.) Shower room/toilet is very small - you have to stand in the shower area to take a pee!

The house was very clean and the decor immaculate. The house was a two minute walk from the town centre.

It would have been good to have chairs to sit on when we came in on an evening. Perhaps one of the bedrooms could have been turned into a lounge with table and chairs to sit round to eat meals. I am only 4ft 11 inches and struggled to access the outside key safe,
