"Very expensive for subpar service"

I checked into the hotel on Friday . The desk attendant was very nice but didn’t say anything about housekeeping . Apparently you need to request the service but I was not informed of that at check in. Since this is graduation weekend the room rates here are about three times as much as usual . At almost $300/night for a 3 star hotel housekeeping should be automatically provided in all rooms. At the very least it should be made clear at check-in.
