OYO Hotel Mona Lake Muskegon

The room was a decent size, had a microwave and a decent size fridge. The bed was fairly comfortable and it was clean.

Upon my arrival to the property, I entered the building and proceeded to the front desk, where the front desk agent was having a very loud public conversation on speakerphone and I was not greeted at all infact I stood there for 5 minutes before the front desk agents son I am gonna assume said there was someone at the front desk waited a couple more minutes for the agent to actually come assist me. I proceeded to tell her I had a reservation and handed her my identification card to pull up my reservation and was informed that the room I had reserved Earlier in the week, even paid the 7.00 hold fee that the property charges to hold you reservation even after stating no fees until you stay at the property was not available but would put me into something else which she did but it took her forever to find something. Okay, then she only charged me for the room deposit for 50.00 not even bothering to charge my card right there for the actual room itself, they waited until 600am the next morning to charge my card and then the contacted Booking saying I didn't arrive to the property for my stay and tried charging my card another charge for a room I already paid for good thing I locked my card or that would've went through and I would have wound up paying twice for a one night stay at this property. I am still waiting on my room deposit to get returned to me which has yet to happen. I do not recommend this property at all. They claim they want good reviews on Google, Booking etc but do nothing to earn said reviews. They like to take your money and then tell whatever company you used to book the property that you didn't show up to the property and try to charge you AGAIN for a stay that you already paid for. Oh yeah I get that times are tough but watch out they have fees they will charge you for every little thing right down to accidentally staining one of their towels that a 25.00 charge! They will charge you 50.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay here. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with all amenities provided. The staff was extremely courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely coming back again soon!
