Anstatthotel Zug - app self-check-in

- zentrumsnahe Lage - geräumiges Zimmer - ziemlich sauber

- Öffnen der Haustür und des Zimmers per App funktioniert oft nur mit viel Geduld - einmal musste ich fast 5 Minuten lang probieren (es gibt keine andere Methode zum Öffnen der Türen) - Sicherheit: Es gibt in der App keine Zweifaltorauthentifizierung. D.h. wer den Namen und die Aufenthaltsdaten einer Gäst*in kennt, kann diese Angaben in die Anstatthotel-App eungeben und hat so Zugang zum Haus und Zimmer. - Korridor ist düster und lieblos gestaltet (bzw. überhaupt nicht gestaltet. - im Korridor werden Brandschutztüren, die geschlossen sein sollten, mit Türkeilen offen gehalten. - sehr ringhöriges Zimmer - Balkon der Zimmer auf der Ostseite ist nur halb so tief, wie es die (auf der Westseite aufgenommenen) Bilder suggerieren.

The room was functional and adequate.

There was very frequent strong smell of cigarettes in the apartment, especially in the bathroom. The noise from next door and from the road was very loud.

The bus stop to get to the station/main city area was right across the road from the apartment which was handy. The laundry room was relatively clean but it was slightly inconvenient that only 1CHF coins only fit in the slot as I had run out and didn’t have any left but couldn’t use anything else. Using the app/Bluetooth to open the doors was easy and relatively convenient rather than having a keycard.

The shower wouldn’t drain properly. After being in the shower for only 2-3 minutes I noticed that the water was rising higher and not actually draining. It would also not drain overnight so there was a constant small puddle in the shower the whole stay. I had to either take really quick showers or turn the water on and off to ensure it didn’t overflow. The bedsheets were also made out of cloth material which was slightly uncomfortable. How to get into the property wasn’t clear either, so it took me a while to figure out how to get into the building.

Very basic room. Rather small. But it was clean and the bead was comfortable and the shower was good and clean. The property was walking distance from the train station.

Location is ok

It felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel. The fact that the bathroom was not in the room was also weird.

No airco, hot room, noisy, booked an appartment got a small single room. 2nd and last stay here when sending message to hotel no response, not a place to recommend everything needs a second change but a 3rd nope no more, shame
