AJ Residence Kota Kinabalu City Center

I loved how communicative they were. Some places are not so communicative and just cut-and-paste instructions. They are not like that. They try to make sure you are satisfied and answer your questions. The rooms are very nicely designed, clean, and there is space to use your laptop, the shower is quite nice and the bathroom. The exterior, the building isn't great looking, but the location is very good, and the rooms themselves are super.

The building, stairwell could be a little cleaner, but that's not their responsibility. The rooms are very clean, the service is great, and that's what counts.

Unica pecca, c’era un forte odore di prodotti chimici nel corridoio. Penso fossero i prodotti usati per tenere lontani gli animaletti che infestano la città di KK

Clean room which did the job, good location (walking distance to the waterfront), good shower pressure and hot

Very small room and thin walls (like a caravan). There were metal hangers knocking off the wall and each other constantly which stopped us from sleeping. The hosts cared about this and said they had ordered an alternative hanger for future. There were also a lot of steps to climb up to get to the property which would be difficult with luggage. They offered to help us but it was a small lady who came and I felt bad getting her to carry 25kg huge case up the stairs.

Beautiful, clean and close to the city center and the waterfront, very comfortable bed and modern fixtures, very private and quiet, as a solo traveler, it was a perfect place to lay my head for a night. Check in and check out is super easy and they are very accommodating.
