Fantastic place. A whole comfortable apartment in a great location, with a private garden on the roof.

We stayed 11 nights and enjoyed the quirky layout. The location is excellent as your front door is right in the covered Sanjo shopping street but the unit itself is set back and away from most of the noises. Great restaurants, convenient stores and grocery store was close by as were metro and major bus lines. The free bikes were a nice option. Very clean and the air conditioning worked great. Overall; we were very comfortable and it was nice that the two bedrooms upstairs functioned separately for privacy. We would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen is functional but needed some basics like cooking oil and salt. The bathroom was not air conditioned and could get pretty warm in the hot summer. The garden area was nice to look out on, but was smaller than expected from the pictures and not really a place to spend time as expected (access is through a sliding window). The landscaping was nice, but it appeared to have a lot of standing water and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the garden and access corridor(we were diligent to keep the doors closed to the primary rooms, so no issue with mosquitoes inside those rooms).

Location is excellent! Conbini just around the corner and lots of shops close to the property. Bikes are free, too!

Location is within a great community shopping area that offers everything within a very short walk or ride_supermarket, restaurant shopping, bakery, coffeehouses etc.

Nice holiday house for family. The kitchen is big enough and the location is perfect.

It would be nice to have heater in bathroom. It was quite cold to take a bath in winter time.

Beautiful traditional home which was a highlight of our trip. Well appointed facilities - plenty of space for the four of us. We made use of the push bikes to cruise around Kyoto! Excellent instructions to find home and welcoming host. Easy to use get to train, bus and tram.

The place was large, clean, well organized, in a really nice little shopping/eating area. The staff were lovely, this was a fantastic place.

The owner is really kind while waiting for us at the facilities as we are checking in late. Great facility which open my eyes for the special Japanese ryokan with lots of decoration at the entrance and also the small garden next to the room. The facility is next to a shopping walking street with Lowson, groceries shops, restaurants just right at downstair with short walking distance which is really convenient. Will certainly coming back again in the near future!
