"Kyoto is a lovely historical city, with a lot to offer. This stay made for a great home base."

It was really spacious for the price. Upper AND lower floor. There was a small garden (a nice one too). Overall it felt like being at home in Japan.The complimentary bicycles were a really nice bonus too.

From a westerners perspective, the futons (Bedding) were a bit hard to get used to.

"Perfect place for a traditional feel but with modern amenities"

The house was clean, well maintained, comfortable, had modern appliances, and the traditional feel that ryokans are famous for. There are multiple konbinis close by and a bus stop for quick access to the city. The garden on the second floor was a beautiful touch to make the stay truly magical. I highly recommend this place and the host!

Location is not central; however you have a bus stop just in front of the property, and you can be in 10 mins in Kioto Central station. The Japanese garden is beautiful. The kitchen is very well equipped. Check in and check out was very simple !

The property does not offer towels; therefore, you would need to bring your own ones.
