Ahana Resort El Nido

La posizione con la vista sul mare e sulla foresta circostante dalla piscina a sfioro. Lo stile della proprietà. In caso di necessità lo staff è molto disponibile. Il contatto con la natura e la posizione inusuale rispetto alle altre strutture de El Nido (il Che è un pregio ma anche uno svantaggio).

Purtroppo per tutto il periodo del nostro soggiorno il Wi-Fi in camera non ha funzionato e non sempre abbiamo avuto l’acqua calda (per i disservizi non ci è stato fatto alcuno sconto). La posizione in alto su una collina raggiungibile solo con una strada dissestata e fangosa impraticabile quando piove troppo, è molto penalizzante, e raggiungibile solo con il loro 4x4 (transfer molto costosi) non con un tuk-tuk o macchina normale. La sera dopo le 22 quando chiude il bar (che non è attivo fino a mezzanotte come riportato nella mail) viene chiusa anche la reception.

El hotel sin duda alguna es bastante bonito, junto con las vistas que son muy bonitas y el personal muy agradable.

Tengo que decir que para acceder al hotel tienes que subir una rampa muy grande de tierra que la verdad te deja sin muchas ganas de salir o entrar, somos una pareja joven y deportista y realmente es una cuesta bastante tediosa, los tuk tuk no la pueden subir ni siquiera en moto hasta arriba del todo. Por otro lado la ubicación no es excelente, necesitas transporte 100% entre eso y la rampa, pocas ganas te dan de moverte por el Nido cuando realmente es a lo que vas. Por ultimo al estar tan alejado tiene mas bichos, lo cual no hay problema siempre y cuando la puerta de tu habitación no esté rota como la nuestra y no cierre del todo.

We booked Ahana Resort because it was advertised as being in a “prime location with easy access.” However, a few days before arrival, the hotel sent a message contradicting its own advert, explaining that access was difficult and required a 4x4 vehicle. The property is far from main areas and very hard to reach, which led to unexpected transport costs and safety concerns — especially if it rained. The listing also stated a free airport service, but we were told on arrival that there would be a charge for pick-up. The room smelled strongly of drains, the TV didn’t work, and we had to let staff know in advance when we wanted to shower to have hot water. During dinner, the waiter misunderstood our order and tried to charge us for something we hadn’t asked for. The food is explained and it a lot of choice. If people are going to come here and completely be isolated unless you want to pay 700+ per trip then expand the menus, add to the facilities or provide free shuttles. To make things worse, the roof was leaking above our table, and there was no wet floor sign, creating a serious slip hazard. Before our stay, the hotel’s WhatsApp communication was very responsive, but once we raised these issues and requested a refund, they completely stopped replying — both to us and to Booking.com. We have now had to involve American Express to dispute the charge, as we feel we have been scammed by misleading advertising and poor service. We left after the first night despite booking several days, as the conditions and attitude were unacceptable. Definitely not the experience we expected, and I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.

Instalaciones muy chulas y bien ubicado. Infinity pool con vistas al mar y al atardecer. Tienen happy hour y pocas habitaciones. El personal es MUY amable y atento y las habitaciones son muy comodas y bonitas. Se nota el toque japonés.

El camino para llegar. Embarrado, con pendiente dificiles en moto y mojado. Tienen transfer de la carretera al hotel en coche gratis (5’) pero deberían hacer algo por arreglarlo.

Die Lage ist eine absolute Katastrophe, da das Resort nur über einen langen Schotterweg zu erreichen ist, der sogar zu Fuß sehr schwer zu bewältigen ist und den Roller muss man schieben, wenn man nicht sehr sicher damit umgehen kann und ordentlich Kraft hat. Sehr gefährlich. Man kann sich abhängig machen von einem Fahrer, der nie zu erreichen ist. Dieser Fährt einen allerdings nur bis an die Hauptstraße und von da aus muss man dann schauen wie man weiterkommt. Oder man zahlt 800-900PHP pro Fahrt.

Es wird mit reibunsglosem WiFi beworden, weswegen ich von dort aus in Ruhe 3 Wochen arbeiten wurde. Es ging garnicht und Zoomcalls musste alle abgesagt werden. Die Klimaanlage war kaputt. Ich meinte ich kann bei der Hitze nicht in dem Raum bleiben, weil es durch die Sonneneinstrahlung kochend heiß wurde. Die Lösung: "Ziehen Sie alle Vorhänge zu und wir geben ihnen einen weitere Stehlampe". Genau, ich reise auf die Philippinen, um dort in der Hitze, eingesperrt in einem abgedunkeltem Raum zu sitzen? Es gab zudem keine Möglichkeit an Wasser zu kommen, außer extrem überteuertes direkt im Cafe. Es gibt keinen Kühlschrank um Getränke o.ä. zu lagern. Und es ist sehr dreckig, durch das ganze Ungeziefer, was leicht in die Villen kommen kann. Die Bilder sind eine absolute Täuschung. Ich kann nur abraten hier zu buchen.

Won’t recommend this place. I don’t usually leave reviews in any hotels or restaurants I go to but I feel like I’ve got to do this. First off, the resort is way up the hill and the road is muddy and no barrier fence. Service van is ranging from php800-1,200 for one way. The electronic hotel safe wasn’t working I had to ask the staff to replace it. The bathroom smelt very bad likely from clogged drains or broken toilet seal and when I told the staff, his response was “it’s usually like that and the smell will go away in about 5 mins”. No way I’d stay there so I requested another room. New room was okay beside the flickering lights, old and moldy cabinets and rusty shower head. Lastly, the resort is being falsely advertised with “Breakfast Included” but none of the workers are aware of it even after showing it to the receptionist, he just claimed it must be some error in booking.

It's surrounded by nature so it was nice and peaceful. But there are things needed to be addressed and improved 1) great service to customers is very important, the receptionist is not really accommodating and good in response to inquiries and requests. The way how to response and to make the guests feels at home is by accommodating them properly. 2) limited transporation is very challenging. Night out in town is one to experience but the hotel is like 30mins away so the pick up of the guests should be until 10pm or another bucks to pay for overtime of the driver. Not really nice because the transportation back and forth is expensive, you have to pay to the hotel for the transportation service. 3) Availability of the food.
