The shower water temperature was unstable, constantly spiking from lukewarm to burning hot. The dinner was o.k, the breakfast not tasty at all, depleted food items were not replenished, and the omelet station was left empty with no staff to cook.

Limited services available, it feels like a RB&B. Lots of stairs to go from room to pool to breakfast and everywhere else in the premises. We needed to carry our luggage up and down endeless stairs. Walls between rooms are paper thin. You can ear everything from people next door. Noise construction on site going on. No availability in the à la carte restaurant and the buffet restaurant was close both days we stayed, so we needed to drive 25mins to Peso da Régua to have a dinner and get back in the dark thru a winding narrow road.

Amazing views and a convenient location in the Douro valley on a vineyard. Good food and obviously very good wine! The port tasting is a must do activity. Room was a good size and clean, though the bed was a little bit firm. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized pool on site with fantastic views. Short drive to Pinhao for boat trips.

Tricky driving up to the hotel and built on the side of a steep hill, so a lot of steps and a challenge to get up and down, though you can walk up the road and even drive from the restaurant to the rooms.

The location was fantastic! What a stunning view of the valley and river Duro from our room and the breakfast terrace .The pool was large and super clean . Rooms were standard but clean and fresh .Loved how it was built with slate nestled in the hills . Easy drive from hotel to pinhão and Lamego .

Whilst the breakfast was good with a great choice the buffet dinner was not great unfortunately. Just basic quality foods , quite tasteless main courses. We made the choice to eat there since we arrived late but it was the wrong decision. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel !

The wall between the rooms was thin so you can hear neighbors well.
