Trailway Motel

I don't even know where to start. Ok, the beginning. Woman greeted me with rude "What". One word said rudely. I had trouble understanding their pronunciation and ended up asking if they were upset with me in my wtf body language kind of way. Son came and was pleasant. Walked into room and floor was wet from broken refrigerator. Pleasant son came and cleaned up which left that part of the floor clean. The bed cover was disgusting and don't ever want to find out results from a uv light test. Curtains were missing so many hooks. I cannot figure out how the fabric could have been so badly damaged from just hanging. Went to shower in the morning but there was no way to change water coming from tub spout to shower head. No Wifi, no coffee stuff, no working frig. White towels stained black.Unless you're looking to tell a good trip story, avoid this place. Probably by looking several towns away.

Older motel clean and manager was exceptional..

Staff acted like my presence was unwanted and inconvenient. Waited in the lobby to check-in for almost 10 minutes and had to call the place to finally get someone to come help me. Staff kept arguing with each other about my reservation and other personal matters. Light in the bathroom kept flickering out and the TV didn't work (not that we were given a remote to use it with anyways).

The place is a dump. The tv didn’t work. There was no hot water in the shower. One of the electrical sockets didn’t work. It was noisy all night long. I’m pretty sure there were drugs deals and prostitution going on.

Just kind of not welcoming there was a roach on my shower curtain and the manager wasnt very friendly

This place is so disgusting. I don’t know how it got such great reviews on various websites. Don’t believe them. My room stunk to high heaven the minute I walked in. That stench absorbed into all my clothes. The Indian man behind the counter was a very nasty man. When I checked in the clothing rack had not one hanger on it. I had to beg him to give me hangers and he looked at me as though I was going to walk off with them when I leave. I had to hear his lecture about theft. For many reasons I didn’t stay past the first night. When he went to give me a refund slip for the unused days, it was really for someone else’s credit card. I didn’t realize it at the time. I was totally ripped off for almost $100. Shortly there after, it was under investigation by Expedia and they come to a resolution but it wasn’t to my complete satisfaction. I had threatened to call the police. Oh, don’t even think about asking this man to wear a mask if he has to come in your room to to fix something. He refuses to wear a mask, PERIOD. There were three windows in the room and all three had exposure to the outside. Peek a boo, we see you!! No privacy.

The people here were great...the room was so comfortable and clean. This is a budget motel, but to me a great one. It would be my go to place to stay if in Fairview Heights again. Close to everything I needed. Thank you Trailway Motel...
