The Minuteman Inn

The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The mini fridge did not work. The bathroom floor was not clean. Sheets, towels and bathroom fixtures were clean. It was quiet.

In fairness the person checking me in, did show me the room first before he checked me in, however the bathroom was around the corner, and I should have looked at that upon check in. The Inn is definitely not new, and I wasn't expecting everything to be pristine, so when I viewed the room before checking in, I noticed the furniture wasn't the best & the cleaning was the absolute bare minimum, which is OK as I always wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes whenever I stay at a hotel anyways, so it looked fine for 1 night....then I went into the bathroom. It was the most disgusting bathroom I had ever seen. The toilet paper holder and towel holder were taped onto the wall, the bathtub has never once seen a scrub brush and when I attempted to wipe the toilet tank top off the entire top shook and was barely holding on. I won't even mention the floors or walls. The staff was friendly and welcoming, no issues there, but with every other hotel in the area booked this was my only option so I knew for $80 a night I was not getting the most upscale accommodations, but I couldn't imagine anything this bad. I used my entire wipes container and after 10 minutes, I felt gross, so I grabbed my bag and drove all the way home (2 hrs). Very disappointing, but again they did give me the choice to say no before I checked in (which is why I didn't ask for a refund), I've never had a hotel show me the room before checking me in, I should have known something wasn't right.

Wanted receipt for cost and they couldn’t provide!

The Inn was nice. It was clean and was perfect for our one-night stop. However, the shower was outdated, and the porcelain was chipped in places. We reserved a king- bed room months ago, but when we arrived, we were informed that we were issued a double room instead, despite the fact we called in earlier during the day to confirm our reservation! The staff who greeted us was friendly.

The family running this place seems very nice and helpful. However, the walls are paper thin and we seemed to have a bunch of regional sports teams staying the same time as us. It was insanely loud and we did not get any sleep. We will never stay at this place again. They really need more sound proofing.

Nice place.

I liked the location. It was near to all the places I wanted to visit. The room was clean, equipped with a small fridge and a microwave oven. Bed was comfortable enough. The only thing is that there was no recycling system. Recyclable material had to end up in the trash, but that's more an issue of the state of Massachusetts, really.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The front desk manager was very nice and the snacks in the room was a nice touch, but there was a loud party next door and so much weed smoking. Not a very relaxing environment but the price was decent for the area.

A bit pricy for consistent stays.
