The Minuteman Inn

Basic cleanliness was no where to be found in my room. The linens appeared to be clean, but a very noisy motel and guests. VERY different from the pictures and incredibly disappointing. I was attending a funeral and had no other choice, but will think long and hard before taking an Expedia review seriously again.

I absolutely LOVED the shower and mini-tub in our room.

The rooms were nicely appointed with thoughtful amenities, and was very clean and beautifully decorated. One can tell effort, time, and thoughtfulness have gone into making the property a wonderful experience for travelers!

The staff was very pleasant however, the check in area was very dirty and that should have given us a heads up. It was raining when we got there and the floors are all vinyl. We had to put a towel down to keep from getting the floor all wet and it was filthy. We looked out the back window, and it appeared there was a very junky area where people "hang out". Lucky forus it was raining so no one outside. The list goes on and on. We came to the area due to a sick relative in the nearby hospital. After talking to some local folks in the hospital, they told us to get out of there immediately. They said it was very unsafe and they knew this because their brother was a police officer in the area. This was a last minute trip and we really had no choice. We checked out the next morning and found somewhere else.

This is an old motel purchased and run by what appears to be a recent immigrant family. They were extremely conscientious and accommodating. Not luxury, but good value. And we appreciated their solar towers.

Entering reception area/office I was hit with a strong food smell. It filled the air. Room is damp and smells like there should be empty liquor bottles and cigarette butts all over. Bed sheets feel wet because of the humidity. (Someone else’s) hair all over the bathroom floor. Not just one hair, lots. Door to the room completely bent and did not lock. All windows were closed but unlocked. That scared me a little. Because - why? Bathtub was FILTHY. Toilet seat - filthy. Bathroom sink….you get it. Windows are grimy. Interior doors are in disrepair and are filthy. Holes in the walls were filled in with spackle and just left like that. Never painted over it. The only plus - The man at reception was so kind. Definitely way too expensive for a night here. Rate should be $59 a night. I paid twice that plus the usual taxes on top.

Not stoked about the place or stay despite good service. Straight up value proposition.

I liked it until the morning and I got into the shower and the floor of the shower was like a water bed rolling and sort of like being in a row boat at sea trying to,stand up. I would be badly hurt if I were not used to living on a boat. They must attend to this or they will have a very bad accident on their hands not to mention an insurance claim. The floor must have delaminated from the concrete.

Property was in a state of disrepair, rust, stained walls, stained furniture, cigarette holes (bedding, carpet, etc.), doors that stuck or had huge gaps. It appeared that repairs were done by an inexperienced carpenter, some repairs looked improvised, for instance, the connecting door between rooms: the door knob had been removed, but the trim and strike plate left in place, then a spray stucco had been applied to the whole thing to cover it up.
