Sand Bar Cottage Inn

It was a one-night stay. Very close to Main Street, Bar Harbor, with it's shops and restaurants; easy parking; very comfortable room; helpful staff; great breakfast. We would stay here again.

This was my first bed and breakfast experience and it was absolutely heavenly! I could not have chosen a better place to stay in Bar Harbor- the location was perfect and it was so helpful to have the on-site parking. It was an easy walk into town and to watch the early morning sunrises over the harbor and a quick 10 minute drive away from Acadia! I thought staying solo for 3 nights at a bed and breakfast would be awkward but it absolutely was not. Room 7 was so quaint and comfortable and I still am dreaming about the comfort of the bed! Chris was the most gracious and kind host. He had great recommendations on where to go to eat and things to do and he was so personable, friendly and easy to talk to. The breakfasts were to die for- I am still dreaming about the banana fosters pancakes and the baked oatmeal. Wow wow wow! It was also so nice to come back from a day of hiking/cycling in Acadia to the afternoon treats. I enjoyed the early mornings on the front porch and the coffee was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this property, the staff, the location and the entire experience. I am looking forward to returning soon!

We were here for only a night on the tail end of our trip but had such a lovely stay. Gorgeous, clean property, lovely owner and staff, delicious breakfast, and the covered porch of my dreams.

An exceptional inn managed very efficiently by Chris. He was very helpful in giving directions to Acadia National Park . Also appreciated his guidance on our hike across to Bar Island during low tide . The choices of sweet or savory breakfast each morning was a great way to begin our day . Both being delicious. This beautiful inn’s location makes it very walkable to all of downtown.

Tranquilo, y desayuno i l'hora del te.

La altura en las habitaciones sobre todo en la habitación 7, además de no funcionar el aire acondicionado. Puertas que no cierran en la hab. 1, pequeña y cama para dos pegada a la pared. Teniendo en cuenta que la reserva se había efectuado con 2/3 meses de antelación, es inexplicable.
