Sand Bar Cottage Inn

We came for a wedding where most of our family stayed at this B&B! The staff were incredible, Chris, the manager/innkeeper, was so bubbly and we could tell that Sand Bar is his baby. He clearly loves this inn and puts a lot of love into it. The breakfasts were not only incredible, but also well-presented, creative, and had a good portion size. We got to choose between sweet and savory (Pancakes vs quiche or oatmeal vs omelet, etc). Every area of the hotel was clean and tidy. It really felt like we were staying at someone’s well-maintained, loving home. The location is incredible, short walking distance to all of the fun bars and restaurants. And the beds are SO COMFY! First trip I’ve been on that I didn’t look forward to sleeping in my bed again lol. Thank you Chris, Victoria, and the rest of staff for a memorable stay!

Where to even start on our fabulous stay at Sand Bar! It is such a charming place that feels like home (but better!)… Location couldn’t be any better, the breakfast and snacks were all so delicious and the staff is so gracious. By the end of the visit Chris felt like part of our family! He is awesome! A weekend to remember ❤️💚

Staff and the inn were exceptional

Had an amazing time at the Sand Bar Cottage while attending a wedding for a dear friend’s son at The Bar Harbor Resort across the street. It started with us walking in the door with Chris greeting us warmly by name/ like we just arrived to our new home away from home which was a quick walk to anything and everything! A plated breakfast and coffee served every morning awaits you along with cookies and a sweet treat each afternoon…and don’t miss out on their happy hour and cocktails! We will be back!

An over the top experience for a perfect wedding weekend. Chris, manager went above and beyond making everyone feel Special. The breakfasts were scrumptious each morning with 3 choices of food and coffee. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious rooms with wrap around porch. Entertainment with bar and fire pit in side yard and tea with desserts mid afternoon

The Sand Bar Cottage is a beautiful Inn located in the heart of Bar Harbor. We recently stayed there for the first time and we could not have been more pleased. Chris and his staff were absolutely amazing providing extraordinary hospitality. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast followed by afternoon tea. The Sand Bar does not miss a beat as in the evenings there is live music which we thoroughly enjoyed. I must say that after staying at other hotels in Bar Harbor that the Sand Bar far surpassed expectations and we are already planning our return. Lou & Deb

We enjoyed our time here because of the gardens and front porch, the evening of live music in the garden every night. It was very close walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor… 5 min walk. Room 1 was clean and spacious enough for 2 people. The only negative would be that possibly a staff member’s living quarters were above us and heard them walking every morning at 5:30
