Clean, quiet and friendly
We were independent travelers amidst an entire hotel of cruise ship guests. I would not recommend for someone who is not with the cruise. I purposely picked the hotel because it was the only option I found with 2 double beds. Unfortunately, they gave us a room with one king. I am traveling with my adult age son and do not want to share a bed with him so I complained. After a bit of push back, they offered to send up a rollaway. The level of comfort on a rollaway is not the same. My son asked me to not be upset any longer, so instead I went to shower. The water pressure was almost nonexistent. So, overall, the two things that mattered most — bed and shower — were unsatisfactory. Not to mention at 4am or so, all the cruise ship people start rolling their bags to the halls and the place gets loud.
We loved our stay! Had great food, walked trails around the hotel area! Saw the beautiful chef's gardens. The river ran in front of the hotel and was beautiful. everything was great!
Staff was very nice and accommodating but the property needs some updating.
Didn t like guest had to request dailt room service. Towels garbage taken out. Replace coffee. Etc. No microwave or refrigerator . In the summer fairbanks can be hot. Unable to keep snacks anc beverages cold
We booked through Expedia, the hotel also charged us. The amount through Expedia was $50 higher. The hotel was full of cruise people and we were treated as one of them. Very impersonal. There was garbage on our hallway floor.
