Excellent stay good value for money staff really friendly and helpful food great

After some initial confusion regarding the booking we were shown to our room, very clean modern and comfortable. On the way up we were told that evening meal bookings had closed at 5.45pm and we unable to eat on the premises, despite boards outside stating food available all day. We then had to drive around several miles to find somewhere else for our evening meal. On our return (not late) the pub was locked, nobody around or in reception and no way to find what the wifi was. Changes in food times could easily have been emailed.

Very clean and inviting room couldnt fault it. Food was excellent but took too long to come and so couldnt enjoy it the same. As it wasnt busy we couldnt understand why the staff were apologetic and offered compensatory drinks. We were just too tired to enjoy it. More time needed next time for evening meal.

Visiting Beamish Musuem this hotel is in a perfect location and only a 10min drive away. The hotel itself is clean, and well run by a friendly efficient staff. The room we had was a fine size and the shower was great. We ate at the hotel and I can only say we weren't disappointed. There is some traffic noise being next to a road but through the night it isnt so noticeable. Perfect hotel and for what we paid £112 for two nights with a full breakfast if needed included it is highly recommended.

Wonderful service from start to finish. Staff were so kind and always eager to help.

Staff and food excellent. Downstairs bar wasn't open, which we were expecting it to be. had to drink in the restaurant upstairs or in the beer garden. But this is something they're working on, training staff so they're able to run the bar downstairs, and get the locals going back which would be great.

Lovely hotel, ideally situated for various places! Staff really pleasant,friendly & helpful! Food brilliant,we ate in the restaurant at night and the breakfast superb! Very well priced accomodation, Our only criticism,no details in the guest book re fire exits etc, or info for local facilities, oh n please pop :hot water' warning stickers on your sinks & showers! The water is extremely hot,
