Prize by Radisson, Bern City

- Comfortable sleep - Spacious room but no amenities - 24/7 free hot water (with single-use cups) and cold water (with glasses) in the reception area only. - Check out at 12, so we slept very well.

- No electric kettle/coffee maker/fridge - Breakfast was continental and expensive. The Coop supermarket is just beneath the hotel. - We put a request for a room on the highest possible floor in Booking.com; apparently, their system is not connected to Booking.com, and we had a couple of hours of negotiations with reception to resolve the situation on the -4 floor :) Staff tried to book us into other hotels and issue refunds, but all hotels in Bern were full due to multiple business summits running in parallel. It was inconvenient for two hours. - The Manager, the receptionist, and the bartender were one person! We waited a while for him to serve drinks to all paying guests before addressing our issue. - The Coop supermarket opens at 8 am and closes around 8 pm. Since the hotel is a bit far from the city center and there is no fridge in the room, you should plan well. - Mold/limescale in the shower (See photo). - Wi-Fi did not work in the reception area; it worked on higher floors.

Room temperature was uncomfortable. We stayed in a heatwave (36 degrees) and the pre-set air con just wasn't sufficient; the room temperature did not drop below 24 degrees. Went to Reception staff who just shrugged and said it was because Bern wouldn't allow more energy to be used and the room temperature would drop if we gave it time. I didn't completely believe that as the Reception area was blasting out cold air and our temperature just kept going up. I've previously stayed in another Radisson hotel in Erfurt, Germany in a similar situation and it was the same. So, my conclusion is that Radisson set controls to save money and the customer suffers, so just won't book one again. The rooms are also minimalistic and a bit ugly. No safe, limited wardrobe storage, no drawers, no minibar/fridge, no coffee making facilities. Strange yellow design feature jutting out from the bed head wall which means the second person can't sit up in bed properly. Breakfast was adequate but limited hot options, only eggs. No breakfast tea. We've stayed in 5 hotels during this trip to Germany and Switzerland and this was the worst.

Asub Luzerni kesklinnast eemal, autoga ca 15 minutit. Järve ääres, hotell on järve ääres, ilus ja stiilne ja puhas. Parkimine maja ees ca 10 franki päev. Kõik on mugav ja puhas - hommikusöök on üle tee asuvas restoranis super. Vaade on imeline ja vaikus on hea!

Rannas võiks olla 5 meetrine väike pontoon, millel oleks hea vette minna.

Great location, bus stop just in front plus a Coop next to it, the staff was extremly nice and the room was spacious enough. Breakfast was good although a bit pricey. They even offer free local public transportation for the duration of the stay.

The room temperature could not be adjusted, but luckily it was fine as it was. Also there was no water kettle/glasses/cups/tea/coffee in the room.

The bed was uncomfortable, and there was no kettle, nor were there any Nescafé or tea sachets. The price paid for one night for two rooms was excessive and not worth it.
