Really nice friendly place to stay when visiting relatives. Lovely food and beer and with a beautiful river flowing by with moorhens and chicks!

Location, the feel and management of the property. Staff were attentive and helpful on the whole.

2 of the 6 rooms we booked were sub standard. They were like staff bedrooms yet the same price as the other, much better rooms. Could have done with a shelf in the showers to put toiletries on and somewhere to hang towels. The sealant in the showers could do with being replaced as the mould is unsightly and they were slow to drain. There was a music festival at the hotel while we were there- it would have been better to have known about this when we booked as it meant nowhere to eat that evening. Breakfast was a bit poor. The coffee machine broke on each of our 4 mornings. Yoghurt/ fruit would have been a nice option instead of cooked breakfast, limited cereal or toast.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

The room was very hot! Opening the windows helped a bit. The windows really needed cleaning! The kettle didn't work but was replaced promptly the next morning, as were two bulbs in the bedside lamps. The pub was noisy but closed promptly at 11. A giant screen in the beer garden was on all day and evening. Breakfasts were ok but not everyone wants the full English. Maybe include fruit, yoghurt, muesli etc. in the breakfast menu?

Great location. Very convenient location for my visit, only 5 minute walk from hotel to the location of the wake. The outside seating located on the beautiful river bank was lovely with the amazing massive outdoor tv screen. Good breakfast. Thanks everyone

The accommodation was good but the single room I was in could improve with a coat of paint to freshen it up. Could improve with a better chair in the room. The hotel is not disabled friendly with the room accessed via a steep set of stairs and no lift. Difficult when using crutches, impossible had I been in the wheelchair. At the time of booking I didn’t know that the rooms were above a large well attended bar and restaurant. Luckily I didn’t get back to the hotel until 11pm when the televised football had finished and people were leaving. At time of booking it was very confusing on several web sites as to whether the rooms were en suite as there was mention of shared bathrooms. Just a small point that needs clarification on the advertisement showing all rooms are en suite.

Spacious rooms with character. Small but busy hotel which shows they have got things right. Loved the breakfast which was inclusive of the price.
