Didnt like anything except for the location

It’s the worse place I’ve ever stayed in. Upon entering the strong smell of dog made me feel sick. The owner dressed like he just woke up out of bed. The room had not been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, bed sheets not changed. Tea wrappers everywhere. Offered another room which appeared done. The room was freezing. Bed uncomfortable. After an evening out coming back to the hotel was very unnerving. Had to step through a hole in the door. The whole place in darkness so had to feel your way around. Worried their dog was going to jump out and me at any point. In the morning owner still dressed in the same clothes. His appearance reflects this disgusting hotel.

The rooms are a bit dated but would expect to pay more if they were of a better standard. I have been to Portcullis for the last three years and was told, for the very first time, that there was a breakfast room at the end of the corridor. Although there were no cutlery or plates so we would have had to have brought our own. Will remember when I come again, as the other hotels charge high prices for a breakfast.

Im easily pleased so managed with all facilities although friends in other rooms were not impressed. They could smell toilet stuff in rooms 3 and 4. I was in room 1 with no smell

People were very friendly, ideal location for my work trip

Could not shower because of the extraction fan being so loud and making a wiring sound. I went to shower at 5am the morning of check out but soon as I turned the bathroom light on, the extraction fan would come on and made an absolute racket (loud enough that it could have woken everyone up)

Close proximity to town. Bed linen was very clean

It's basically a pub with rooms. Pub smelly when we booked in. Loud disco until 1am with people arguing outside our room, although did disperse very quickly when disco stopped. Bathroom was basically a converted wardrobe so very small and could have been cleaner. Would only recommend staying if you don't want to go to sleep until 1am

Location was very close to where I was working in the heart of Chipping Sodbury

The room wasn't very clean and smelt of smoke, the bible book has a gross residue on it and there was no shower curtain or enclosure in the bathroom.
