The location is central and the staff were lovely. Check in was 2pm which is nice and early. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Not particularly clean. Bad smell as you entered the pub, plumbing problems we thought. Also wet room in the hotel room smelt the same. Soooo noisy until 1,am. People chatting until much later.

The girl who greeted us was friendly, and we were allowed access to our room 30 mins early. The bedding looked clean.

Having seen the price, I knew I wasn't in for a luxury stay, but I told myself that as long as it was clean and a place to sleep, then we would be fine. Well, it wasn't clean, and we barely got any sleep. The first thing that struck me about the room was how cold it was. Granted, it's February, but I should not have to sleep under a duvet with clothes under my sleepwear and socks on. There was a radiator in the room, turned up to the maximum, but it let out very little heat. Very uncomfortable. There was dust covering every surface of the room, making those uncovered loose tea bags all the more unappealing. The en-suite shower room was pretty dire. There's a lot of limescale buildup making it pretty unattractive, but it was the grotty seal around the frosted glass door that was particularly off-putting. We did attempt to have a shower, but the fact that the drain didn't in fact, well, drain, meant that as the bathroom started filling with water we quickly turned it off in case it started leaking out to the bedroom. So we settled on a sink wash... where the plug to the sink wouldn't actually come out, and so we emptied the water out by hand instead. When we decided to call it quits and get an early night, then started the music. Now, unless you have some heavy-duty industrial earplugs, you won't be getting any sleep til after 1am when the pub downstairs closes. And if the music doesn't keep you up, the smokers outside your bedroom window having a great laugh surely will. If you need a dark room to sleep in, you'll probably not appreciate the bright lights directly outside your window. The threadbare, falling apart curtains don't offer much help. If you were to have an issue with any of this, the thought of having to go downstairs to walk through the pub to find someone to speak to would likely put you right off. There's no reception desk or anything, just the pub.

Bathroom had no shower curtain, water drained very slowly. Empty soap dispenser on the wall. Brought a drink and the glass the Coke was served in was filthy. Doors felt flimsy, combined with loud music from the bar until 1am you didn’t feel safe at all.

Very good welcoming from staff a great position in town very clean also was told that it could be a bit noisy as there was music but having stayed here before was already awre of this but not a problem for me but it was nice to be informed about it 😀

The only thing I found was the shower was a little cold in the morning but maybe it was just me as having stayed before in a different room it was fine

Perfect location, but poor for parking .

After 3 previuos visits this was the first time I was told there was a breakfast room. No cutlery or tableware provided.
