Location was good.

Twin beds were quite comfy, but very narrow. Room was not serviced. Tea snd coffee not replenished. Fridge was a bonus. Obscured glass door to toilet didn't provide much privacy. Smoke alarm was missing.

Location, staff and price were excellent. We had read the reviews around the music on Friday and Saturday nights so was prepared for that. We were in town for a festival so were in the party mood and joined in. Staff warned us on arrival too. As long as you are aware then it isn’t an issue. The room is quite basic but the bed is comfortable and for the price it is decent value for money.

Very helpful staff - who helped me organise a cab . Especially as a lone traveller. Situated on the high street so an excellent location.

Surprisingly quiet for a pub. Comfy bed. Great location. Perfect for an overnight to walk to 'Good Times' event.

No bedside table on one side of the bed, no teaspoon to hook the tea bags out the cup. It'd be nice to have a net curtain to make the room feel more private, even though the windows opposite didn't seem to be in use. Apart from that, it was good.

Beds were really comfortable

As we arrived, we were greeted by a man who was sitting outside smoking and asked if we could wait until he had finished his cigarette,we went inside as it was hot. I had a disabled friend with me, i asked for a disabled room /low ground floor. Fortunately, we were not given this & had to go upstairs, we were shown where the dining room was which was also a tv room tv , we had to make our own toast, ceral in boxes , basically help yourself a bit bad as we booked b&b we choose to miss this as it did not look clean. The step into the bathroom from the bedroom was high , we were given a key to let ourselves in which we did as we entered i tripped as the door was higher than the frame it was dark no lights on to see where we were going , a guy did appear when he heard the thud from catching my leg on the door frame . A waste of £85

No breakfast but we go to the Royal Oak across the road which is lush. Location awesome.

It was as we rated and great value.lovely fluffy white towels. Tea coffee facilities.

You pay for what you get. We were aware this was a party pub so knew it wasn’t going to be quiet so if you want a quiet early night this place isn’t for you. We were visiting badminton so we were late back and knew we would have noises up to closing time . Once doors were closed it was quiet as a mouse. We knew what to expect but it was great value and a good base .
