It was fascinating to see this property with villas in different styles from around the world. Very convenient stopping off point en route from one coast to the other. The hosts were charming and friendly.

The villa we stayed in was clean but it was also musty smelling. It was hard to sleep with the noise of traffic from the road. I would not recommend the dinner option and please note that children will be charged full price to eat.

We had a great overnight stay at this unique property on our way to the Caribbean coast. Ruben was a very welcoming host and accommodated our early arrival. Recommended.

Staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. Apartment was very spacious. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Right off Route 32.

Only hot water could be hotter ;)

The location itself was lovely. We appreciated the eclectic cottages and the overall beauty of the property. The lodge was convenient to both town, Toucan Rescue Ranch, and Braulio Carrillo National Park. We enjoyed generous breakfasts (included) and the choice to dine on site for dinner at a reasonable additional charge (which we did). Our dietary preferences and restrictions were honored and the food was unfailingly delicious. The owner was "hands on" and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was convenient parking and reliable wifi. Rooms were very clean. Ours had complimentary coffee, a small (not mini) refrigerator, table and chairs, wardrobe, and reading chairs. We had the option of eating in our room, but preferred the larger dining area. The grounds had walking paths and beautiful landscaping. Overall, a delightful 3-night stay!

We honestly did not have any complaints. Service was exceptional. Comfortable room. Great food. All we needed and more.

Mountain Lodge is full of character, with helpful staff and great food.

Nice place to stay right outside of San Jose! I enjoyed this lodge - it was much better than staying in the city on the day before our departing flight. It only takes 40 minutes to get to the airport, but it is an expansive property with great views, good food, and nice accommodations.
