FIExceptionally friendly staff, a peaceful location amidst nature by the Sitapur beach which is excellent for snorkeling. The bungalow's pleasantness adds to the resort's relaxed atmosphere. We had a great stay!
DEHavelock and Neil Island are now getting places with all the modern conveniences which you find everywhere. If you are looking for that don´t go to the Emerald Gecko. This place is different - and that´s the beauty of it. The bungalows are made of wood, bamboo and natural materials and are wonderfully integrated into the beach area. You will find everything you need and you won´t find all the things which are superfluous and are part of tourism today - or what people are looking for, at least most of them. This is definitely the wrong path as I think because you destroy places, sooner or later they all look the same, not to talk about the ecological footprint you leave behind at your holiday destination. The Emerald Gecko is as things should be and only at such places you can catch a glimpse of the real beauty of the islands - listen to the birds singing in the morning, feel the sand under your feet when you go outside and climb a wooden ladder to sleep in a place under a mosquito net - enjoy all that in a laid-back atmosphere.

INININ1. Quiet Location is a personal preference - away from large tourism , thus the location was perfect. 2. Proximity to beach (almost next to private & personal beach with very few tourists visiting through the day) & gorgeous starry nights from the beach 3. Rustic accommodation / beach huts made it feel more natural and in harmony with the environment 4. Good food at the in- house restaurant . Limited menu but prepared well & enough restaurants around the neighborhood to explore & lounge around in . 5. Supportive staff at the resorts (almost all of our requests were tended to ) 6. Plenty of animal friends 😊
Just 1 - yellow lights at property over white would make for a better / cozier ambience .
