Haveing to leave the premises in the morning via a fire escape. This was the instruction given at check-in

The waitress was very friendly and amenable. She got us extra sheets when we told her we couldn’t sleep on the feather bedding. She should be the welcomer and would have created a far better first impression than the man who greeted us. We received money off our dinner as we had to leave before breakfast. The room was very clean.

The welcome received was very off putting. The man who checked us in was not very welcoming at all and after a long day of work, we would have liked a warm welcome. We had to walk down steep steps to exit as we had to leave early in the morning. There was no hyper allergenic bedding.

Gorgeous room, lush bed and bedding, smart bathroom facilities. Helpful staff, perfect location, parking.

Decor could be a bit more varied - just union jacks galore which gave a slight 'reform party' vibe. Pub a little noisy but I would expect that.

Comfortable bed

No breakfast served on weekdays even though it was paid for/offered when booking Ashtray left outside room door with cigarette butt in. Paint on room wall marked and dirty Shower head spraying up into light overhead spotlight and all over bathroom Food very average and not taken pride in presentation.

My bedroom! It was so plush and quaint at the same time. Luxurious and super comfortable bed and delightful chaise longue to relax on. Very clean room and quality assortment of teas and coffee for the room. Loved the wardrobes squirrelled away in the original stone wall, fireplace and shower room tucked away behind a half stable door. Close proximity to bus stop for double decker ride (amazing views of countryside) to Hartfield, Tunbridge Wells, Haywards Heath, Crawley, etc.
