"DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could rate this place negative stars, then I would. THERE ARE PHOTOS."

2.0

My mother and I stayed at this location between November 15-22 2025. During our stay we realized that the services available were less than ideal. Photos have been attached for others to form their own opinions For a start, housekeeping was supposedly done on a refresher basis every two days, which, according to them, meant tidy up and empty the trash. This was problematic because housekeeping never seemed to stop by our room during this alleged “refresher visit”. We could ask for a full service but when I did that, was told that it was only done once per week and only on Fridays and a request outside of that required a 24hr advance notice?? Call Dr Kissinger! We need approval for fresh linens and an empty trash can!! Changing sheets and vacuuming requires 24hr notice?? This was not posted anywhere. We were heartened to find that our request was actually granted upon returning to our room later on an afternoon but I was made to feel as if I was asking for the impossible to happen. We shouldn’t be made to feel as if we need to beg for this. Housekeeping should happen every day for guest comfort. We had to regularly ask for fresh towels and trash to be emptied. In fact, one night I decided I’d just set out the full trash in the hall for them to pick up at their leisure because asking for service felt as if it was an imposition. It took 12 hours for it to be picked up. Dining was another matter. The Starbucks was only open for 3hrs in the mornings with the barest selection of breakfast items: yogurts, one kind of muffin, and 2 types of bagels plus coffee. These items were offered at a premium price, meaning two large coffees, a muffin, and a bagel came to a cool 30.00. The regular restaurant was not open for breakfast at all. The coffee maker in the room never worked. Also, i object to the presence of dogs in the restaurant area unless they are service animals and the animals I saw were plainly not service animals. Dogs were everywhere in the hotel. There didn’t seem to be many staff actually working in either the restaurant or the hotel; they seemed to just float around the lobby or the desk area or stand in the background. The staff were nice and a few were actually very accommodating but generally the people I witnessed were not terribly proactive anticipating the guests’ needs. My mother uses a walker and when we arrived, one staff member stood and watched us struggle with luggage instead of coming over to lend a hand. What was the desk’s response? That they provided the luggage carts for our convenience. THAT WAS THEIR IDEA OF HELPING. Another bone of contention is the handicap accessible room my mother requested. We had no less than 9 safety bars in the bathroom but zero slip resistance in the tub which meant every time we got in or out felt as if we were taking our lives in our own hands. There was nowhere to hang the towels other than on a hook on the door which did not lend itself to drying in less than 24 hrs. All those safety bars but no towel racks. The toilet tissue holder was wobbly and about to fall off the wall and obviously had fallen off the wall in the past because we could see the patch mark. The shower curtain was just a bit too short to stay in the tub and prevent the water spraying on the floor because there was usually a puddle despite the bath mat being down. This was an additional safety issue. THERE WAS A BLOODY STAIN ON MY MATTRESS. The balcony off our room overlooked the scenic parking lot and the roof and the chairs on the balcony were too skinny for anyone wider than a tv remote to sit in. Why hotels insist on putting in these skinny chairs with arms that can’t be used by larger customers is beyond me. While I’m on the subject of chairs, let’s talk about the patio on the back of the restaurant area and the outdoor couches with the mildew stains and dust. I never noticed anyone cleaning the dust off the patio tables or the couches and yet they had people eating and drinking out there? Not sure about others but sitting on mildew stained cushions and putting food on dust covered tables is neither appetizing nor sanitary. There were dirty stains on the walls of the elevator from people’s hands that - surprise! - weren’t cleaned off. After I was told that changing sheets required 24hrs notice my mother and I gave up At no time were the sheets changed. No vacuuming was ever done. We had to beg for towels and room attention, and trash pick up. Oh my god. On Friday night the day of the alleged full service they claimed would occur, THEY LEFT ME NO TOWELS AT ALL. I was prepared to get in the shower and realized no towels. I had to call the desk to ask for towels and was then told there was no one available to bring them up because the housekeeper called off and the clerk was not allowed to leave the desk. I had to get dressed and go downstairs to get my own linens. Was asked if I wanted to speak to housekeeping?? ISN'T THAT MANAGEMENT'S JOB??? At checkout, my mother was not asked about our stay - or any of the usual check out questions - but was instead simply advised to "toss your key in that basket" as she was handed the receipt. The clerk didn't give a toot one way or the other about our stay or anything else to be honest. Won’t stay here again. Trying to ask staff for anything beyond handing over money for something is pointless because they really couldn’t be bothered otherwise. Give us your money and go away was how it felt to be honest. Most infuriating hotel experience ever, with what they call "service" extremely lacking, housekeeping woefully inadequate, and staff unmotivated.
