The RYOKAN O

Располагается прямо у вокзала. Это традиционный отель с матрацами на полу и комнатой в старинном стиле. Возможно, кому-то будет узко, неудобно или мало места - этот отель именно для желающих прочувствовать себя японцем. На этаже есть кулер с водой. Хотя и говорили, что стены тонкие и хорошо слышно соседей, мы никого не слышали. Очень милый персонал: встретил нас небольшой лотереей напитков, где все выиграли колу, а также нас сфотографировали - на стене висело много фотографий постояльцев за последние годы.

Кому-то может быть неудобно, что надо использовать три вида тапочек: для первого этажа, для второго-третьего и для туалетных комнат.

The entrance room is nice, and everything is clean

Expensive for what they offer, and description on booking.com does not match reality. We were traveling with two kids (1 and 4), and booked the hotel since it was on our way and it offered a triple room (three futons mentioned explicitly in the description), so we thought we could have a comfortable rest. When we arrived however, they simply told us that only two futons can be prepared since the booking was made for only two adults, and that the misunderstanding is due to booking.com and/or misunderstandings often happening with foreigners. I’ve been living in Japan now for over 7 years, but this is the first time encountering this type of situation.. An additional futon was possible, but only via another upcharge.. Given the already steep price for what it is, I don’t think it is fair.. The fact that nowhere in the description or booking process it was mentioned that not all of the 3 futons would be allocated for us, and afterwards there was no real understanding for the misunderstanding caused by this, was quite sad.. We did not enjoy our stay here.

Loved my traditional room in this Inn, lots of space, bed very comfy. The staff were super friendly by looking after me. The showers were communal and were nicely hot with high pressure. Brilliant place to stay before starting the Nakasendo, highly recommend it and also if you are around for dinner make sure to try their Waygu Burger with Wasabi Mayo & Salt. Superb!!

Very reasonably priced - good value for money. Nice common room on the ground floor. Welcoming staff.

As we were on the third floor, the two women in our group had to go downstairs to the second floor for toilet and shower facilities. Otherwise, all good.

The name implies traditional Japanese lodging, but in fact it has been renovated to more of a standard hotel and feels like a hostel. Our room was smaller than those pictured and lacked any space for luggage whatsoever. The biggest issue was that the walls are poorly insulated, so we were continually woken up by other guests opening and closing their doors
