Very easy to check in and the room was fantastic with a view over the trees into Michigan State University campus. It was a great sentimental experience.

Location great to msu campus

The hotel is beautiful, very nice collegiate/English decor, warm and homie and very colorful. Location is excellent, right across MSU campus.

Mattress was okay, but they may need replacement, it was a bit saggy. Bottle of conditioner had not been refilled/replaced. Also, there were supposed to be complimentary bottles of water in the fridge, but there were none.

Location and decor

My daughter and I checked in at exactly 4pm (posted check-in time) and our room wasn’t ready. We needed to change clothes and freshen up so we were directed to a public restroom. With no other option, we changed in bathroom stalls and did our makeup at the sinks. We went back to the lobby at 4:20pm and were told our room still wasn’t ready and we needed to just leave our bags in the lobby. Without another option, that’s what we did. We returned at 9:30pm to finally get our room and I asked if I could get free valet for this inconvenience and the front desk staff was very rude and told me that’s not an option with such a look of disgust on her face. Was the room nice? Sure. But I wasn’t even able to use it for my intention.
