Pug Seal Oaxaca

Cute property and great location. Breakfast was delicious! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

My room did not have windows which was a big disappointment considering the price point!

I stayed at Pug Seal Oaxaca for 24 hours and honestly wish I had more time. The hotel is right in the center of the city, which made it easy to explore on foot. Everything from the food to the hospitality felt warm, intentional, and personal. The hotel itself was beautiful, with local art, soft natural light in the rooms, and the kind of vibe that makes you feel like you're staying at a friend’s stylish home. Breakfast was served in the courtyard and it was one of the highlights. I had fresh soursop juice, traditional Oaxacan dishes, and amazing coffee to end the meal.

Honestly, my only issue was that I didn’t book a longer stay. I felt like I had just started to settle in and it was already time to leave.

We’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, and this one is without a doubt in our top 5. The design, the food, the staff, the location — everything was outstanding. Top-quality hotel, top-quality amenities, top-quality architecture. We fell in love with the hotel from the photos, but in person it exceeded every expectation. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed my stay at Pug Seal. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Zócalo and the Santo Domingo church. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and breakfast in the common area was both delicious and full of local flavors. My favorite spot was the terrace, with a view on the relaxing water installation.

The room we had was spacious and well equipped. The only drawback was the lack of a window, which felt a little closed in—but it seems that’s the design of the hotel overall, so worth keeping in mind before booking. Despite that, I would happily recommend Pug Seal and would stay again!

La decoración es increíble. Los murales de las paredes en las zonas comunes, el patio y la decoración de las habitaciones. Muy bien situado en medio del casco antiguo de Oaxaca.

La habitación no tenía ventilación natural y era muy pequeña. La zona del baño muy pequeña y sin apenas lugar para colocar el neceser. Tampoco había espacio para colocar la ropa. Había una ventana que no podía abrirse y solo se podían abrir dos ventanitas pequeñas de la propia puerta de la habitación que daban al patio interior. Además, la habitación era muy oscura, por lo que aumentaba la sensación claustrofóbica.
