Good size room with a nice balcony.

Fitness room was tucked away and didn’t take advantage of the views.

Amazing location, We love this resort. Its clean, very peaceful, and the staff is friendly. A must stay location With every room that has views for days! Highly recommend this location!

As a Globalist, the experience was a wonderful way to utilize my free Category 1-7 reward night. I wish I could have spent another night, but it may be difficult to justify the value if the stay was either paid in cash or with points versus a free reward night. That said, the entire staff was incredibly helpful, the decor was beautiful, and the complimentary yoga / e-bike / surf gear was a nice touch given the location to the beach.

Fabulous trip! Marty Anderson was always right around the corner to lend a helping hand! The Valet crew:Gus,Cooper, Victoria, Ricky, Chad were amazing we parked our RV Van and they were so accommodating!! Our server Lynn at breakfast at Vaga was so friendly!!

Great location, and super close to the beach. It was a perfect and romantic getaway to celebrate our anniversary. My favorite was the view of the beach. We got a coastal and lagoon view. At first I thought I wanted the ocean front but im glad we had the coast view bc the ocean front is right in front of the pool and im not particularly interested in sitting out and just watching people in the pool. I liked the other side and it was much more peaceful. We ate at the bar/lounge the first night we got there. Ordered the short rib lamb tacos and they were delicious. Breakfast is also good. Dinner was a little disappointing. We ordered the $75 steak which sat on tomato sauce and just not that much flavor on the actual steak. Also ordered the fish and that lacked flavor as well. Shrimp appetizer, broccolini and beet salad are a must. Pool was nice, but beware of the nice cabanas and cushioned lounges which cost $200-500. So dumb. Am I in Vegas? NO ONE sat there. Such a waste of space. Overall it was a nice stay…$650 a night worth, I don’t think so. The hallways and elevators look like they need an upgrade. The hallways smell. I was a bit shocked that they looked and smelled that way for a “luxury” hotel. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for less.

Beautiful property, we absolutely loved our fire pit room! The pool and amenities like the sauna and cold plunge were awesome! The view is incredible, and the surrounding area is just gorgeous. The staff is awesome!! Clean and beautiful room as shown in photos. Our only 2 disappointments were the fact that no one mentioned or highlighted in any way that it was our honeymoon, despite my calling to inform them & adding to all my booking notes & our dinner at Vaga. We recommend having a drink at the bar as the restaurant is beautiful, the view is stunning, and the staff is great (the hostess mentioned Congrats on our wedding as she saw the note, however, apparently did not inform our waiter as there was not one mention from him or even a tiny dessert). The food lacked luster & flavor majorly, and is beyond expensive for what is served. The NY Steak was blah, the scallops were rubbery, the burrata salad had hardly any burrata or topping, and the sweet potatoes had zero flavor. There is only one glass of Cab available unless you are getting a bottle. We are foodies, and this is NOT a foodie's type of restaurant to say the least. Overall we will maybe come back as we loved the property & the rooms, we will just book each and every dining option off property.

Stayed at Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas and had a really great experience overall. The place is super clean, well-kept, and has an amazing coastal vibe - definitely a relaxing atmosphere. But what stood out most was the service, especially as someone who’s paralyzed and depends on staff being aware and accommodating. Huge shoutout to Milad working at valet who went above and beyond. He let me self-park, helped coordinate charging for my Tesla, and made sure all of our bags got up to the room without any hassle. He was respectful, attentive, and just made everything easy for both me and my girlfriend. Overall, the staff made us feel genuinely taken care of without being overbearing. That kind of service goes a long way. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a clean, beautiful spot with people who actually get hospitality.

Very elite feeling experience while staying here. The entire staff was friendly and the environment was conducive to a relaxing experience. Shout out to Milad in the valet for the very VIP feeling experience!

It was a pleasant enough stay but definitely doesn’t feel like a luxury hotel when it comes to service. The room was clean and comfortable but no one gave me any info on activities and the check in process was awkward and left a lot to be desired.
