AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach

Nice hotel and great location. Simple restaurant and bar. Nice gym and pool. Pool gets shady early around 1 in Jan and is small but refreshing. Next door to Casablanca Restaurant. Service was very good. Didn’t love the pool towels they give you but no big deal. Daily credit was $15 not $30 which we read. I would come back for sure.

Power kept going off in bathroom. Would have to get maintenance to correct. Very minimal storage for clothes.

No closer in a suite !!! Poor poor poor. Ok for overnight but not for a week.

I recently stayed at the AC Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach. I’ll start by saying Cathy, the front desk agent, was fantastic on my arrival. But I want to start this review at the end of my trip and then come back to the beginning. I departed the hotel on Monday morning in an UBER to the airport. Upon my arrival at the airport, I realized that I left my backpack outside at the front of the hotel. I immediately called the hotel, and Kiara, the front desk agent, answered my call and went to look for my backpack. To my surprise and delight, she found the backpack that was in front of the hotel and told me that she had secured it. I immediately went back and retrieved my backpack. I was kind of shocked to find all of my contents intact when I returned to the airport. I cannot thank Kiara enough for her help in locating my bag. This kind of service can’t be found at all hotels. Now back to my arrival. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 10 AM in the morning just off of a cruise. We were not expecting to get a room but only to drop off our bags until our room was ready. Cathy, the front desk agent, told us that she would try to see if anything was available. We’ve done this many times and never has there ever been a room available this early. She told us you never know, let me give it a try. Lo and behold, she found us a room and we were able to check in immediately. This is a big relief for us as we didn’t want to just walk around for six hours. After traveling for more than 40 years, the kindness and support shown by Cathy and Kiara, were one of a kind. I can’t say enough superlatives about both of them. By the way, the room was great and the ocean view and balcony were fantastic. I will be staying here on my future trips to Fort Lauderdale.

Stayed at the The AC hotel location is good. Hotel is clean. Staff is okay. However they charge you a resort fee, and you will have to pay for breakfast per person. Everything is charged to your room and there is no option to pay with cash. Nice hotel fees I feel all these fees are unnecessary and incredibly expensive. I am basically paying for beach towels which I did not use, 2 hrs bicycle which I did not use. We were on the 8th floor with a balcony that has 2 very large sitting chairs that are 2 big for the balcony. It is about an hour walk to downtown Las olas downtown district.
