AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach

Exceptional service in a clean modern hotel in an ideal location. The corner oceanfront room had an exceptional unobstructed ocean view with wraparound balcony. The lobby was open and breezy with a breakfast room (including all day coffee and espresso machine) and a great indoor/outdoor bar including a patio. Prime beach location with plenty of hotels, bars and cafes. The desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and in the lobby there was a sort of host in a suit making sure everyone was happy. Sleeping was a breeze with blackout curtains and soundproof windows. The oceanview pool was bigger than expected and included a bar. The room was clean and well appointed, highly recommended

Wish there was a microwave

We were impressed right from the start, when Anitha greeted us warmly as we walked into the hotel. Check in with Anitha was great. She was friendly, professional and you could tell loved her job as she suggested dining and attractions. The hotel lobby was clean organized and had warm Floridian vibes. When we got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the view was, and we loved the balcony. The room was spacious, extremely clean, and the space was utilized for the comfort of the guest.

Great visit! Thank you to all the staff. We came here due to being “stranded “ due to FAA issues. Everyone was welcoming from front desk to bar tender and special thanks to Julian for fixing our tv so we could watch the Eagles game! Love being able to use the Ritz beach chairs and food service.

Not much I didn't like

We were booked into here by Princess Cruises for one night before boarding a cruise. Arrived at hotel and checked in . First impressions of room were good. An obstructed view of beach but ok. However room is directly above the pool and terrace. The pool pumps run all night . Didn't hear this when first entered the room as A/C was on and assumed it was that. Eventually turned off a/c (which wasn't easy)!!! To then hear the dreadful noise all night - it's like sleeping in a room with washing machine running all night!! I am Writing this review at 05:30. Breakfast is not complimentary and is expensive. We went to Casablanca bar for drinks and food when we arrived it's a great place so will go back there for breakfast .

Don’t do it! We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise the next day. Got our bags and called for the shuttle. Go to The right to F and wait there. We did. And we waited…. The hotel is not even 3 miles away. Called again, 20 mins later to check on the shuttle. “ oh on its way.” Ok. Another 30 mins I called again. “Opps, he had a little incident. He is 12 minutes away.” Guy shows up. No “incident”, no “on his way. “He got called into a 30 minute meeting when he was leaving to get us. Not a great start 8 mins later we were at the hotel. “The system is rebooting and we can’t give you keys, but security will take you up to drop your bags.” I asked how long it would be. “A little bit.” “ Is that a few minutes, 30 minutes, what?” Oh about 30. Will you call me to let me know when we can get the key? “ Sure, we have your number.” 3 hours later we go up to the desk asking about the keys. She had them waiting there. I asked why she didn’t call. “ oh , I did, it went to voicemail” come up with another line sister, cell phones show if you missed a call. Mire lies. Put us in 931. The place smells moldy and the temperature does not go below 65, which is really about 68. Went downstairs to grab a drink. Aubrey is their saving grace. He is a great bartender and mixes a great drink. Big smile, very kind, makes a great drink. Fabulous bartender and the only reason this place got 2 stars. Back to the room to try to sleep, awful beds, couldn’t breathe, got all stopped up with mold and mildew. I will look elsewhere next time I come to FFL. Go someplace else. Only deserving of 2 stars. It’s almost 1 am, can’t breathe, can’t sleep, get us a outta here!!

At first, this was a dream come true. By far the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in and at an affordable price. Beds were very comfortable and the view was spectacular! We were upgraded and the room was very nice and had a balcony. However, not all of the rules were disclosed. Beware! The room is affordable but they charge you for EVERYTHING! No one told us but breakfast is NOT continental! We went to breakfast the first morning and after we sat down with our plates, we were approached by a staff member with a ticket and asked if we knew “how it worked?” We were charged $58 for 2 adult breakfasts! This was just one example. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend this hotel!
