Delicious food and good value r

Wish we had a bigger room but the decor was lovely & the shower room was very good I booked very last minute as our car had broken down so probably didn’t realise which room I was booking, I would have paid more for a larger room if available

Lovely weekend break, thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent.

Ideal location in the main street. Good parking spaces round the back! Restaurant and food were very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed including a natty little coffee machine..

There wasn't anything we didn't like..

Hotel had a lovely ambience, decorated out well. Food ie: breakfast very good. Staff accommodating and friendly. We will definetely be staying again

Beautiful hotel, lovely food and all staff really friendly and helpful. I was upgraded (didn't ask, just a lovely surprise when I checked in!) and the room was stunning. A great gesture to make my stay even more special.

Me and a colleague were working in dorchester but had a few issues so had to stop overnight. We checked into the hotel i stayed here several years ago. The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and we'll stocked. The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked. Will definitely try and get back again.

Great central location on the high street, beautiful old building with lovely bar area and large restaurant. The room was a good size and the bathroom was smart with a shower that worked really well, easy to control temperature and powerful. All the staff were very pleasant and looked after our every needs.

There was nothing we didn’t like, we would definitely recommend to anyone staying in this area, a shame we didn’t have longer to stay…

Came back to Dorchester for a school reunion (after 45 years). Some parts of town have inevitably grown shabby but others have blossomed. The King's Arms is in the latter category. Terrific staff, brilliant make-over, clean, well appointed rooms, brilliant food (I had dinner and breakfast) and easy parking.

It was the perfect stay. The room was immaculate and everything had been thought of, even clever over cupboard storage for cumbersome luggage. The staff were so professional but so very friendly and helpful. I was a solo traveller and got a bit lost and three staff members helped at different times. But the food!!!!!! It was some of the best taste sensations I have ever experienced! Thank you to all at the King’s Arms

It was quite dark, obviously in a period building with gorgeous traditional features it is to be expected but there was very little natural light in my room and I asked to sit by the window for breakfast but they were all reserved.
