It was all good, lovely big room, shower good, they gave you good soap, shampoo and even a dental kit if you forgot your own. Restaurant good for both breakfast and dinner. Location fantastic and parking right in the middle of town. Plenty to see and do around the area and places to drive to not far away. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent independent small chain hotel in historic olde world building. Staff are lovely, the rooms are cozy and very clean. few rooms are the same, all slightly different. Food cooked to order and is excellent. Bar has good range of draught beers & lagers, Butcombe Best is....best. Small car park behind the hotel. Centrally located in Dorchester so ideal if you want to walk the town.

The hotel is very sympathetically updated and refurbished. The décor is block colour with tonal accents from secondary furnishings and suits the age and architecture of the building. It has a quiet ambiance that makes you feel at home. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is warm and the bar pleasant. The food was very good.

Nice enough hotel, was upgraded to a fancy room, nothing fancy about it although it had a nice bathroom. Room exceedingly hot, no fan provided, difficult to sleep. Floors so squeaky, the neighbours upstairs sounded like a heard of elephants and probably were not that heavy on their feet at all. Bar really busy, not really welcoming. Highlight was the breakfast, this was outstanding, huge portions and nothing was too much for them, breakfast staff and cook superb!

The room was very comfortable. The location was excellent. The food in the evening was very good.

Food and drinks were rather expensive by comparison with other places nearby.
