Great hotel in the town centre. The staff, food and accommodation exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a gentle buzz. We really enjoyed our stay and would dearly like the hotel group to open a new one in Cheshire! We’ve nothing as good anywhere near us!

Great hotel, very friendly staff. Very comfortable room and great food. Plenty of car parking. Very comfortable seating area and welcoming bar.

It has been superbly redecorated and refurbished. The new(ish) owners are interior designers apparently,and it shows.

Just asked my partner who confirms ‘there was nothing we didn’t like’. And that ‘the kippers were excellent’.

We had two meals in the Resturant, the breakfast was excellent and I cannot fault it. The evening meal we had was disappointing. My Venison curry was cold and needed reheating. My wife had the lamb which was very fatty and just not that nice. I was also not very hot. We run a business and have a food hygine rating. I can only assume the meals were prepared and not heated up enough which is just not acceptable. We did not make that much of a fuss about the meals as were on holiday and wanted to enjoy our even.

Food was lovely. Bed was comfy.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of Dorchester. Lots of little luxurious touches in the room - fluffy towels, choice of pillows, fresh milk and tea/coffee facilities as well as some Easter chocolate! Super welcoming and helpful staff, plenty of car parking to the rear, great restaurant - fresh cooked breakfast to supplement a small but delicious buffet. And great coffee!

I had a wonderful stay at the Kings Arms Hotel in Dorchester and was genuinely blown away by the service. Karin in particular was exceptional. She kindly arranged a meal and coffee to my room and organised a takeaway breakfast the next morning as I had to leave early. That level of care made a real difference. I had also hosted my dad’s 70th birthday at the hotel the night before and the team were fantastic throughout, making the evening feel very special. The room was beautiful, with lovely features including a freestanding bath. This was my second stay and I would definitely return.

Lovely, classy hotel. Well-trained staff. Reception and breakfast staff are a credit to the establishment. As is the chef. Central, but quiet location. Well-appointed rooms. Small point : carefully check what is, and what isn't free, on the hospitality tray. It can be confusing as little bottles of water are usually free.

Very comfortable rooms warm welcome very clean and well appointed room. Bed extremely comfortable as were pillows and slept really well - soft white fluffy towels. Lots of care seems to have been taken to make your stay a comfortable one. Very warm welcome from staff.
